You must try and score at least 33.99 in Biological Sciences paper. This was the cut off for 2017 which dipped this year. Since we are not sure about the cut off for next year, which usually sees a rising trend, give your best shot.

Since you haven't mentioned the programme in which you wish to take admission, I won't be able to provide exact details. But, mathematics is not required for all programmes of JAM. Based on your rank and previous years cutoff trends, You have very decent chance to get NITs. You can get admission into NIT Silchar, NIT Calcutta, NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamashedapur etc for M.Sc. in Chemistry. You can also get SLIET for M.Sc.

you have a chance good chance to get a seat in NITs. I am not sure about chemistry but you can take admission in chemistry stream also in NIT like Sikkim etc.

It's all depends upon marks you obtained in IIT JAM Examination. If you don't have good Numbers then you can't secure admission in NITs. If your rank is far away from 2nd round cutoff ranks/marks then it is difficult to get admission in 3rd round councelling.
