Hi,
JAM(Joint Admission Test for Masters) is conducted every year for giving admission in various IITs or IISc. This year, the exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science. So, if you want to do it from a top institute like IISc, you must have to secure a rank between 1-35 for the general category. And to get a decent college, you must have to secure a rank under 200 but if you belong to reserved categories then your cut off will become almost half then it becomes a lot of easier task for you to crack this exam.

Hello Student
No not at all, it will affect on your JAM examination. Students before the completion of his third year can appear for IIT JAM examination. If the candidate succeed in this IIT JAM then his or her admission in MSc will be conditional. Candidate wish to join MSc through IIT JAM then his or her 3rd year final result will be satisfactory and complete before the admission in MSC course. Before admission in MSC through IIT JAM candidate has to show the final year result and marksheet to the respective authority for scrutiny of candidate's candidature .
Hope this will help.
