Right now the expected cutoff for geology in IIT is

  • General 34.47
  • OBC (NCL) 33.72
  • SC/ST/PwD 18.73

These cutoffs are as per the trends, and not final.

To prepare for IIT JAM Exam, first, you need to select any one subject as per your IIT JAM Eligibility. 

After that start preparation for this subject.

Check the complete exam pattern and syllabus and note down the syllabus in your notes copy.

Compare the syllabus from your B.Sc.

IITJAM Eligibility Criteria mandates candidates to hold a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have secured at least 55% aggregate in Bachelor's. The marks secured include all the subjects studied in the graduation in all the years, without rounding off the marks

Yes PCM students are surely eligible for IIT JAM.

Youvalso need to have minimum 55% in graduation Bsc.

Dear Chetana ,

You get admission to MSc in IIT and IISc through IIT-JAM.It is a joint entrance examination for admission to Master's Degree in Mathematics accepted by most colleges.in these institutes you will have to appear for IIT(JAM) exam in respective subject.

Yes, you can apply for IIT JAM for M.Sc in Biotechnology, M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering programmes. If you had Maths as a subject in your graduation, you're eligible to apply for other programmes too. For more details on IIT JAM eligibility, click here.
