Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes
Dear Aspirant!
Congrats you are eligible to apply based on your JAM score. But you need to separately appear for JNCASR written test and after that interview. They shortlists candidates after this procedure.
Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a research institute located at Jakkur, Bangalore, India. It has a faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:4 and state-of-the-art experimental, computational and infrastructural facilities. It provides Ph.D. programmes, as well as an Integrated Ph.D. (post-bachelor's degree) program in Materials Science.
I hope it solved your query. All the best!

Hi Shivani, the rank cutoff varies every year based on the different colleges present under iiser based on their decision, difficulty level of exams, number of seats available etc. However based on previous year process, I am sorry to say but it will be very very slim to no chances for IISERS. The maximum rank hovers around 700 for call for interviews.

First of all congratulations for clearing IIT JAM, but as per the stream of biological sciences is concerned, there are a very few IITs which have biological sciences, there is an equivalent competition for the same. Hence it is very difficult to get selected in any IIT for MSc. But i would like you to apply in different NITs and IISERs where there is a chance of getting selected based on your rank. According to the last year cut off, you can shortlist a couple of NITs, IISERs and appear for the counselling. Again i would say that the admission is completely unpredictable as it depends on the ranking, past cut off, students applied for the current year and many other factors. Still, it is worth trying.
Next thing you can do is apply for different central universities as well, you have to write a separate exam for that but chances of getting a good institute is all that matters.
I hope this helps you. Good Luck!
As per the eligibility for CCMN National Spot Round Counselling only those candidates who have not been allotted a seat in any of the previous 2 rounds can apply for the National Spot Round
