AP EDCET Exam 2026: Registration, Exam Date, Syllabus & Pattern

To apply for admission to B.Ed courses at universities in Andhra Pradesh, students must meet AP EDCET 2026 eligibility criteria. Candidates preparing for the AP BEd entrance exam 2026 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility prior to applying. 1. Nationality: Candidates should be Indian nationals.

2. Local/Non-Local Status: Candidates must fulfill the local/non-local status criteria as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, along with any subsequent amendments.

3. Educational Qualifications:

(a) For the application submission of AP EDCET 2026, candidates should have completed or be in the final year of their B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M./BE/B.Tech programs. It is necessary to provide mark memos and pass certificates during the admissions process.

(b) Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M) or in the relevant subject's Post-Graduate Degree. Alternatively, candidates may have completed a 5-year integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or possess any other equivalent qualification. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories (S.C., S.T., B.C.(A/B/C/D/E)) or those who are physically handicapped need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.

(c) It's important to note that candidates who have passed B.E/B.Tech. (with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA) and have studied mathematics and physics are eligible for admission into the course in Math Methodologies.

AP EDCET Age Limit: Applicants must have reached the age of 19 by July 1st of the year when the notification is released. There is no maximum age requirement.

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Choice of Subject under Part- C

The AP EDCET  is conducted for admission into B.Ed. programme in colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh. The eligibility criteria for choosing a subject under Part-C are as follows:

Acharya Nagarjuna University will activate the link for AP EDCET 2026 application form in April at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Candidates who are interested in taking admission into BEd courses at Andhra Pradesh universities or colleges are required to fill and submit the AP EDCET application form 2026 before the deadline. No applications will be accepted after the Andhra BEd admission last date 2026. Steps to fill AP EDCET application form 2026

Step 1: Registration

• To start your registration process, visit the official website of AP EDCET. 

• Look for the 'Apply for AP EDCET 2026' option and click on it to create a new account. 

• You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to fill in the required details.

• Enter your personal information, educational qualifications, and other necessary details correctly.

•  After filling in all the information, double-check for any errors and click on the 'Submit' button.

• Once submitted, you will receive a registration number and password on your registered email address and phone number

• You can log in to your account using this registration number and password for any future updates or changes.

Step 2: Paying the Fees

Candidates are required to make a payment in order to submit their application form successfully.

• Log in to the candidate portal using the registration number and password provided during registration.

• Once logged in, click on the link that says 'Pay Application Fee'.

• You will be given the option to make payment through various modes such as AP Online, Credit Card, or Debit Card.

• Choose the suitable payment mode for fee payment.

• Upon selecting the payment mode, you will be redirected to the payment gateway page.

• Enter all the necessary details, such as card number, expiry date, CVV, etc.

• Check all the details carefully and then proceed for payment.

• Once the payment is successfully processed, a fee receipt will be generated.

• Make sure to print the fee receipt for future reference.

Step 3: Application Form

• Begin by logging into your account using the provided application ID.

• Once you have successfully logged in, proceed with the application process.

• Fill out your personal information accurately, including your parents' names, gender, category, and preferred exam centre.

• Make sure to provide correct and up-to-date contact details, such as your mailing address and mobile number.

• Include your academic details, such as your educational background.

• Before moving on to the next step, double-check all the information you have provided.

• Click on the 'Save & Next' button to continue with the application process.

Step 4: Uploading Documents

• Upload scanned copies of recent passport-size photographs and signatures as per the specifications mentioned in the brochure.

•  Take your time to ensure the quality and size requirements are met before uploading.

Step 5: Confirming Your Application

• Once the AP EDCET 2026 application form has been completed and submitted, candidates should print a copy for future use.

AP EDCET Application Fee 2026

The application fee for AP EDCET 2026 will depend on the category of the applicant. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid in online mode only.

Acharya Nagarjuna University will publish the AP EDCET 2026 admit card in May. The AP EdCET 2026 will be conducted on May 4. Candidates can access the AP EDCET admit card link 2026 at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.  The AP EDCET hall ticket 2026 contains details such as the candidate's name, registration ID, date of birth, category, photograph, signature, exam schedule, exam time, and instructions for the exam.

How to Download AP EDCET 2026 Hall Ticket

• Go to the official website of AP EDCET at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.

• Look for the "EDCET Hall Ticket Download 2026" tab and click on it.

• Enter your registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket number and date of birth in the provided fields.

• Double check the details entered and click on the "Download Hall Ticket" tab.

• Your AP EDCET 2026 hall ticket will be displayed on the screen.

• Download and print two to three copies of the admit card.

• Keep the admit card in a safe place for future use.

Acharya Nagarjuna University will publish the AP EDCET 2026 answer key in June, along with response sheet and question papers. Students can challenge/object answer key during AP EDCET 2026 objection window in June. The AP EDCET answer key provides accurate answers to all the questions asked in the exam, as well as the points allotted for each question. With the help of the answer key, candidates can compare their responses with the correct ones and gauge their performance in the exam. Additionally, the answer key of AP EDCET gives them an idea of the type of questions asked and the level of difficulty of the exam. 

The university will declare the AP EDCET 2026 result in June. Students can view their AP EDCET results 2026 by logging into the university's login portal with their credentials. The AP EDCET results 2026 include details such as the name of the candidate, roll number, category rank and overall merit rank. The AP EDCET mert list is prepared based on the results. Candidates can download AP EDCET rank card 2026 by entering their login details.

AP EDCET Qualifying Marks

The minimum passing score for the AP EDCET is 37 out of the total marks (25%), except for candidates from the SC/ST communities who have no minimum requirement. Women in the Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies category are not subject to any minimum qualifying marks.

AP EDCET 2026 Tie Breaking

1. Candidates will be evaluated and ranked according to their performance in the AP EDCET 2026 examination.

2. The ranking will be based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the AP EDCET examination.

3. In case of a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-C of the examination will be used to determine the relative ranking.

4. If there is still a tie after considering Part-C marks, the marks obtained in Part-A will be used to decide the relative ranking.

5. If candidates have equal marks in all parts of the test, they will be grouped together for the purpose of ranking.

6. Age will be taken into consideration when ranking candidates within a tie group.

7. Older candidates will be given priority in case of a tie in marks.

8. This ranking will be used for admission into the course.

The Acharya Nagarjuna University will publish AP EDCET 2026 seat allotment in July. Applicants whose names appear on the AP EDCET merit list 2026 has to attend the counselling session.  The Andhra BEd admission 2026 process includes the entrance exam followed by counselling for final seat allocation. Students who qualified in the exam can register for AP EDCET counselling process 2026 before deadline. 

All relevant information, including the date and location of the counselling, will be provided on the AP EDCET merit list. Candidates will compete against each other in their respective categories and subcategories. If a candidate from a reserved category is chosen for an unreserved seat, the remaining seats in that category will remain unfilled. During the counselling, candidates must bring their documents for verification and pay the necessary fee. Failure to attend the AP EDCET counselling session in 2026 will result in disqualification from the admission process.
