About AP EDCET 2026

The Acharya Nagarjuna Univeristy will start the AP EdCET application 2026 from April. The CP EdCET application link will be activated at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. The AP EdCET exam date 2026 is May 4. Candidates are advised to check AP EdCET eligibility criteria 2026 before applying. The AP EdCET application fees is Rs 650 for general category and Rs 500 and 450 for OBC and SC/ST category of students. What is the AP EDCET 2025 exam?

Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP EDCET) is an entrance examination conducted by Andhra University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programmes offered by various colleges and universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP EDCET Andhra Pradesh State Education Common Entrance Test (session 2026)

To apply for admission to B.Ed courses at universities in Andhra Pradesh, students must meet AP EDCET 2026 eligibility criteria. Candidates preparing for the AP BEd entrance exam 2026 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility prior to applying. Those who are eligible can submit their application through the official website by completing the AP EDCET 2026 application form. The eligibility criteria for AP EDCET 2026 are as follows:

  1. Nationality: Candidates should be Indian nationals.

  2. Local/Non-Local Status: Candidates must fulfill the local/non-local status criteria as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, along with any subsequent amendments.

  3. Educational Qualifications:

(a) For the application submission of AP EDCET 2026, candidates should have completed or be in the final year of their B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M./BE/B.Tech programs. It is necessary to provide mark memos and pass certificates during the admissions process.

(b) Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M) or in the relevant subject's Post-Graduate Degree. Alternatively, candidates may have completed a 5-year integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or possess any other equivalent qualification. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories (S.C., S.T., B.C.(A/B/C/D/E)) or those who are physically handicapped need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.

(c) It's important to note that candidates who have passed B.E/B.Tech. (with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA) and have studied mathematics and physics are eligible for admission into the course in Math Methodologies.

AP EDCET Age Limit: Applicants must have reached the age of 19 by July 1st of the year when the notification is released. There is no maximum age requirement.

The AP EDCET  is conducted for admission into B.Ed. programme in colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh. The eligibility criteria for choosing a subject under Part-C are as follows:

Physical Sciences

Applicants who possess a B.Sc. degree and have completed studies in either Physics and Chemistry or related material sciences as their Part-II group subjects, or have a B.C.A. degree with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) as their group subjects at the intermediate level.

Biological Sciences

Candidates who have completed B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) and have studied Botany and Zoology or related life sciences as part of their Part-II group subjects, or candidates who have completed intermediate level with Biological Sciences as their group subjects for B.C.A.

Social Studies

Candidates with a B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. degree and intermediate-level group subjects in Social Sciences are eligible.

English

Applicants who have a bachelor's degree in special English or a master's degree in English.

Acharya Nagarjuna University will publish the AP EDCET 2026 answer key in June, along with response sheet and question papers. Students can challenge/object answer key during AP EDCET 2026 objection window in June. AP EDCET Qualifying Marks

AP EDCET 2026 Tie Breaking

1. Candidates will be evaluated and ranked according to their performance in the AP EDCET 2026 examination.

2. The ranking will be based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the AP EDCET examination.

3. In case of a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-C of the examination will be used to determine the relative ranking.

4. If there is still a tie after considering Part-C marks, the marks obtained in Part-A will be used to decide the relative ranking.

5. If candidates have equal marks in all parts of the test, they will be grouped together for the purpose of ranking.

6. Age will be taken into consideration when ranking candidates within a tie group.

7. Older candidates will be given priority in case of a tie in marks.

8. This ranking will be used for admission into the course.

The Acharya Nagarjuna University will publish AP EDCET 2026 seat allotment in July. Applicants whose names appear on the AP EDCET merit list 2026 has to attend the counselling session.  The Andhra BEd admission 2026 process includes the entrance exam followed by counselling for final seat allocation. Students who qualified in the exam can register for AP EDCET counselling process 2026 before deadline.
