The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for CUET 2026 aspirants to update their Aadhar card, Category certificate before filling the CUET application form 2026. The NTA has also stated that the CUET exam 2026 will be held from May. The CUET 2026 official website is cuet.nta.nic.in. The NTA is expected to begin the CUET 2026 registration from late February or first week of March.

The NTA has released the CUET 2026 advisory for students to update their aadhar card and category certificate at cuet.nta.nic.in. Aspirants must update their details as per the NTA advisory for CUET 2026 given below.
Aadhaar Card- Aadhaar Card should be updated with correct name, date of birth (as per class 10th certificate), latest photograph, address and father's name.
UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities)- UDID Card/Disability Certificate should be valid, updated and renewed as required.
Category Certificate- The category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) should be updated and valid

Students can check the changes made to the CUET UG exam by the NTA in the previous year given below. Candidates can expect the same changes to be reflected for the CUET 2026 exam.
No. of subjects to be chosen - Students appearing for the CUET 2026 exam can choose up to 5 subjects.
Exam Mode - The NTA will conduct the CUET exam in online (CBT) mode.
Reduction of Subjects - The NTA reduced the number of subjects from 63 to 37. General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores will be used for the dropped subjects.
Domain Subjects - The total number of domain subjects is reduced from 29 to 23.
No Subject Restrictions - Candidates can choose any subject combination to appear for the CUET exam, irrespective of their Class 12 stream.
APAAR ID - Applicants must provide their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID during registration for the admission process.
The NTA is expected to announce the CUET exam 2026 dates by the end of February or first week of March at cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET 2026 exam is expected to be held for around 13 lakh students based on the number of students registered last year. The Common University Entrance Test 2026 is expected to be held for around 14 days in multiple shifts at around 380 cities across India.
The NTA has not announced any changes yet regarding the CUET exam 2026. However, there are some expected changes being circulated online regarding the CUET 2026 that the NTA might consider the Class 12 marks for CUET 2026 admission process. There is no official update by the NTA regarding this. Students are advised to wait for the official announcement by the NTA regarding CUET 2026 latest updates.

Candidates should complete Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks to appear for the CUET 2026 exam.

The CUET application form 2026 is expected to be released by the end of February at cuet.nta.nic.in. Aspirants are advised to fill and submit the CUET 2026 application form before the deadline. The NTA does not accept any applications beyond the deadline of CUET application form 2026. Applicants are advised to go through the CUET eligibility criteria before submitting the application form.
The CUET exam will be conducted in three sections - Section I, II and III. Each section will consist of 50 questions. The total duration of the CUET 2026 exam is 180 minutes (3 hours). The CUET exam pattern 2026 contains a total of 150 questions to be asked in the CUET exam. Students must answer all the 50 questions in 60 minutes. NTA will release the date and shift timings of the exam on its website. Students will have to prepare themselves accordingly. The CUET entrance will be conducted in 3 or 4 shifts in a day.
Candidates will get 5 marks for each correct answer while 1 mark is deducted for the wrong answer, as per the CUET marking scheme 2026. No marks will be deducted for any unattempted answer. The CUET total marks 2026 for each subject will be 250 marks,.

Hi! CUET UG 2025 will be conducted in May–June 2025 in computer-based mode across multiple shifts. Registration is open from March 1–22, 2025, with corrections allowed from March 24–26. It is for students completing Class 12 or equivalent, and eligibility may vary by university. The exam has Language, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Test sections. Admit cards will be released in May, and results are expected in June 2025, followed by university counseling.

If you mean that you are in your second year of a BA program and want to appear for CUET PG 2026, then yes you can take the exam. However, you will not be eligible for admission that year because you are still in your second year, and CUET PG scores are valid only for the immediately following academic session.

Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.
