Students who qualify for the KCET KNYS 2025 are eligible to participate in the admission process. There are several factors considered while preparing the KCET BNYS cutoff ranks 2025 for participating colleges.
KCET exam difficulty level
Number of applicants for KCET BNYS courses
Available seats
Previous KCET cutoff trends.
How students performed in KCET exam 2025
Candidates who secure the cutoff ranks in KCET BNYS 2025 are called to participate in the counselling process. The participating colleges conduct the KCET BNYS counsellign 2025 based on their cutoff ranks requirement.
If you got around 60 marks in KCET and you belong to ST category, your KCET rank might be somewhere between 80,000 to 1,20,000. The exact rank also depends on your 2nd PUC (Class 12) marks, because KCET rank is calculated using both KCET marks and board marks.
With this rank and ST category, you have a good chance of getting CSE or other branches like ECE, EEE, or Civil in many decent engineering colleges in Karnataka. Some possible colleges where ST students with similar ranks have got CSE seats in past years are:
East West Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Bangalore Institute of Technology (may get non-CSE branches)
Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur (maybe non-CSE branches)
KLE Institute of Technology, Hubli
PES College of Engineering, Mandya
Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan
BGS Institute of Technology, Mandya
JSS Science and Technology University, Mysore (only in last rounds or other branches)
For CSE, the chances improve in lower-tier colleges or in later rounds. You can also consider IT or ECE if you don’t get CSE initially. Also, rural and newly established colleges will have lower cutoffs and more chances.
You will get a better idea once the KCET counselling starts and the cutoffs are released.
Here are the separate website links where you can track your counselling and college options:

To check your KCET rank and see which college you can get as an ST category student, you first need your KCET result. Your rank will be based on both your KCET marks and your 2nd PUC marks. After the result is out, you will get a state rank, and this is the rank used in seat allotment. The all India rank is not used in KCET counselling.
Once you know your rank, you can use college predictor tools online by entering your rank and category to see which colleges are possible for your course preference like CSE.
If your rank is between 13000 to 30000 in ST category, you may get colleges like MS Ramaiah, PES University, Dayananda Sagar, BMS College or Siddaganga Institute of Technology. If your rank is higher like 60000 or more, you can still get CSE in colleges like BNMIT, BIT, Don Bosco or Acharya Institute of Technology.

With a KCET rank of 1,62,000, SC category, Clause A, SNQ quota, and an annual income of 75,000, your chances of getting into BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) are very slim, especially for top branches like CSE, ECE, or IT.
BMSCE is one of the most sought-after colleges in Karnataka, and cutoffs for SC category even under SNQ typically close much earlier—often under 30,000 to 50,000 rank, depending on the branch and quota. SNQ seats are very limited and highly competitive since they offer fee waivers.
However, you can still participate in all rounds of counselling, including extended and casual vacancy rounds, where sometimes lower-ranked candidates do get seats in lesser-demand branches or if other candidates withdraw. Keep your preferences open and add multiple colleges in your option entry to maximize chances.
Hello aspirant,
If you have a valid EWS certificate, you need to upload it during the document verification process of KCET counselling. If you didn’t upload it while filling the KCET application form, don’t worry — KEA allows you to submit it during verification at the help centers.
Just make sure your EWS certificate is in the correct format (issued by a competent authority and within the valid date range). When attending the document verification, carry the original and a photocopy of your EWS certificate along with your other documents. It will be verified and added to your profile officially by the authorities.
If you’ve already done verification but didn’t submit EWS, you can still appeal for correction during the extended document verification window, if available.
Hello Aspirant,
With a KCET veterinary rank of 19,000 and HK (Hyderabad-Karnataka) quota eligibility, you do have a fair chance of getting admission into government veterinary colleges in Karnataka, especially in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region (like Bidar, Hassan, or Gadag), but it will depend on the cutoff trends for 2025.
In previous years, veterinary seats under HK quota have closed around 18,000–22,000 ranks, so your rank is within range.
What you should do-
Participate actively in all rounds of KCET counselling
Keep HK certificate and required documents ready
Consider all government veterinary colleges during option entry
All the best for your counselling.
