JAM Application Form 2018 has begun from September 5, 2017. Candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate programmes in science discipline including M.Sc and integrated Ph.D need to appear for the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) administered Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. by filling JAM 2018 application form through the official link. During filling online application form of JAM 2018 candidates may face certain problems including the image processing, uploading documents and payment options. Let us now proceed to the application process of JAM 2018.
IIT-JAM application form is a six-step procedure beginning from online registration to filling application form to paying the application fee and saving a copy of the filled JAM application.
This first step involves registering online for Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) 2018 applications. Candidates will need to click on ‘New User? Register here’ button provided in the bottom of the official application page of JAM.
Then, candidates have to provide necessary details on the registration page of JAM 2018. The details include basic fields– name, e-mail id and mobile number. Besides, the applicants also need to set a password for the login id. After entering the captcha code and reading disclaimer, applicants need to click on ‘Submit’ button in order to generate a registration id for JAM application form 2018.
Once candidates have successfully registered for JAM 2018, they need to login for filling JAM application form using the generated enrolment id and password set by them during online registration of JAM 2018. After entering the captcha code, they need to click on ‘Submit’ button and log in the JAM 2018 application form page.
The third step in application process of JAM 2018, applicants need to provide information against all mandatory fields including number of test papers they wish to appear for, JAM examination cities, date of birth, gender, parent’s name, nationality, category, communication address and qualifying degree besides uploading photograph, signature and thumb impression. However, few of the JAM application fields including name and mobile numbers will be auto-encrypted as they had already been during JAM registration 2018.
In the fourth step, applicants need to read self-declaration form and click on ‘I accept the declaration’ check-box provided in the page. Once after agreeing with the declaration, they need to review filled-in JAM application form 2018 by clicking on ‘Save and View’ button. Once applicants have reviewed their JAM 2018 application forms, they may proceed to the next step for paying fees for JAM 2018 by clicking on ‘Proceed to payment’ button.
The following step of JAM application process involves payment of fees for each individual paper. JAM 2018 applicants need to pay the application fee as per their selected category and choice of papers. Check the table below for the application fee amount of JAM 2018.

JAM applicants can remit the application fee through any of the online payment system including debit cards, credit cards and net banking.
Once after the fees for JAM 2018 application has been successfully remitted, a message appears where the candidates can add another paper and pay the fees for the same. Candidates can check additional fee amount for extra paper in JAM application form.
Candidates proceeding to the sixth and final step of JAM application process, need to download the filled-in application form of JAM 2018. Further they also need take a print out of the same even as save a copy of the same JAM applications (filled-in form) for future correspondences.
