GL Bajaj College Admission Row: Why Over 150 Greater Noida Students Are Protesting Over Mathura Campus Shifts

On Monday, September 22, massive protests erupted outside GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida. Over 150 students who applied and paid fees for the Greater Noida campus discovered that they had been registered under the Mathura campus. Nirupama Yadav, a student paid Rs 1.72 lakh in college and hostel fees for Greater Noida but was shifted to Mathura for registration, NDTV report said. Another student, Prince said that he also deposited Rs 1.72 lakh under the impression that he would study in the Greater Noida campus. But in both cases, despite them applying for the Greater Noida campus, they have been told that their admission will be transferred to Mathura campus. These two students are not alone to face this situation. Students who are attending classes in Greater Noida campus do not think it is fair to them if they have to travel to Mathura just to take the exams.
