The University Grant Commission has announced a number of major changes in CUET UG this year. Based on a meeting held on November 13, 2024 the committee has shared the changes made to CUET exam 2025. Firstly, the CUET exam will be held in online mode entirely, unlike hybrid mode which was observed last year. The total number of subjects in CUET UG has been reduced to 37 from 63. The CUET exam duration is now 60 minutes uniformally. Candidates can choose up to 5 subjects this year, which was 6 earlier. Subjects which were not studied by the students in Class 12 can not be chosen by the students in CUET exam. The CUET exam 2025 has undergone major changes in terms of exam pattern, test structure, duration of test, number of papers, syllabus alignment and operational logistics. The expected CUET exam date 2025 is May 15 to 24. National Testing Agency will likely start the CUET UG 2025 registration from the last week of February.

CUET 2025 Latest News Updates By NTA: Registration, Syllabus & Exam Date, Changes And Reforms

The CUET 2025 registration last date is expected to be in the first week of April. The CUET 2025 notification will be available in a pdf format and can be downloaded from the website at nta.ac.in. The CUET notification 2025 contains the dates and events of the admission process. The NTA exam calendar 2025 for exams like CUET, NEET, ICAR AIEEA, etc is expected to be released soon.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2025 date sheet on November 20, 2024. The conducting body will also release the NTA exam calendar 2025 by the November end. Last year the NTA issued the examination calendar 2024 on September 19, 2023. The NTA 2025 exam calendar provides the tentative schedule of the exams such as NEET, UGC NET, JEE. December 10, 2024: Major changes in CUET UG 2025 are:

  • Total number of CUET subjects are reduced to 37, from 63.
  • The CUET UG exam 2025 will be conducted entirely in CBT mode.

December 9, 2024: The UGC is planning to introduce major reforms in CUET UG 2025 exam. "The changes will be made after following the considerations given by an expert panel. he commission will soon release a draft proposal detailing the revised guidelines for conducting CUET-UG and CUET-PG 2025, inviting feedback and suggestions from students, parents, teachers and institutions," Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, UGC chief told PTI.

November 20, 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Class 12 exam date sheet 2025. The exam will start on February 15 and end on April 4, 2025.

CUET Registration 2025 Latest Updates

The CUET form date 2025 is expected to be in the last week of February. Candidates must read the instructions before starting filling the CUET application form 2025. Applicants may choose at least three domain specific subjects. Before applying for the CUET one must read the eligibility criteria. The CUET registration process consists of 4 easy steps. First, he/she needs to register on the CUET website. After CUET 2025 registration, applicants are able to fill the entire form. In the next step they need to upload documents followed by the Payment of CUET application fees.

CUET Exam Dates 2025 Updates

The official CUET 2025 exam date will be released by the NTA very soon on its website. Last year, the exam was conducted between May 15 and 18, 2024 in pen and paper mode and between May 21 and 24 in online mode. Similarly, NTA will also conduct the CUET for 2025 somewhere around the same dates. The CUET shift timing 2025 will be released by the NTA, it helps to check the exam dates, day and timing. As per the data released by the NTA, there were a total of 13,47,618 applicants registered for CUET UG in 2024. We can expect that this number will increase by 2025.

CUET Exam Pattern 2025

The CUET exam will be conducted in 37 subjects. Students will be given 60 mins to complete the CUET exam.

The CUET exam pattern 2025 contains a total of 160 questions to be asked in the CUET exam. Out of which 130 questions are must to attempt. The total marks varies on the number of subjects chosen. For 3 subjects the total marks is 200 while it becomes 800 for 5 subjects. The CUET exam 2025 will be held in hybrid mode. NTA will release the date and shift timings of the exam on its website. Students will have to prepare themselves accordingly. The CUET entrance is conducted in 3 or 4 shifts in a day.

CUET Marking Scheme

According to the CUET 2025 marking scheme the candidates will get 5 marks for each correct answer while 1 mark is deducted for the wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for any unattempted answer.
