Hi Aspirant!
NEST is conducted to get admission in NISER ( National Institute of Science Education and Research ) and CEEB (Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai ) only in the programof MSC . You cannot take admission in engineering courses for Bachelor's program (BTECH) by NEST. You need to write JEE MAINS/ADVANCED or any other state/university level exam to get admission in engineering college.

Thankyou!
NCERT is good for concepts but problem solving you need to have some practice. For that you can go for books like:
PHYSICS:
1)RESNICK and HALLIDAY
2)problems in general physics - I.E Irodov
3)Kleppner and Kolenkow (for mechanics)
4)Intoduction to electrodynamics (relevant chapters only)
CHEMISTRY
1)Problems in Organic Chemistry(Himangshu Pandey)
2)Inorganic Chemistry(cengage - vol1 and vol2)
3) For physical chemistry, ncert 11/12 and Comprehensive Chemistry is enough.
MATHS
For functions and basic calculus:
1)Calculus of one variable I.A Maron
2)Piskunov vol1 (relevant chapters)
For Algebra :
For coordinate geometry:
This are also the books which most students study for any entrance related to Engineering. So as you have not much time you can go according to your availability.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello Neha,
As per the NEET eligibility criteria, candidates must have undertaken 2 years of regular and continuous study of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at 10+2 level with practical tests in each of these subjects. This means that you studied Class XI and Class XII and must have been pursued in consecutive years with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology in both. Apart from this, you should have cleared Physics, Chemistry and Biology with an aggregate of 50% and also passed in English separately .
lt does not matter if Biology appears in your marksheet as optional or additional or elective or with any other term as long as you have studied it in both Classes 11 and 12. If you have, then you are eligible.
All the Best...!!!!!

For NEST 2021 there is no changes in exam pattern.
The question paper will consist of 4 (four) sections of objective (MCQ) type questions. Each section is of 50 marks each and will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. It is in the interest of the candidate to attempt all sections. The merit list for both the institutes is prepared using the best 3 scores out of the four sections and the section with the worst score is omitted.
Thus attempting all sections will increase their chances of a better total score .

The national entrance screening test is is an annual entrance entrance test is a college level entrance test for admission in Indian Institute of Science education and research Bhubaneswar and Indian Institute of basic science.
Hope this helps.
NEST stands for National Entrance Screening Test conducted by NIISER Bhubaneswar. The exam basically comprises of four sections,
Biology,
Mathematics,
Physics
Chemistry.
It's rather easy for you to prepare because the syllabus is same as your 10+2 syllabus. You just need to prepare for one more section which you can do in bit by but. If you belong to maths stream you need to prepare for Biology and if you belong to biology stream you need to prepare for maths.
I know a bit of hard work will be required but once you will crack the exam everything will be worth it.
Tips.
Plan a proper schedule or routine to give time for the preparation of both exams consecutively.
Try solving past year question papers.
Try to give mocks in order to analysze the time management.
Don't stress much and keep your confidence till the end.
All the Very best.
Thank you.
