Candidates are required to go through BHU PET 2019 eligibility criteria to check if they are eligible to take BHU PET 2019 for their desired course. Candidates must take a note of the fact that if they are found to be not fulfilling the eligibility criteria of BHU PET 2019, their applications will be cancelled even at later stages of admissions.
Faculty of Arts
BHU PET 2019 candidates must have passed BA (Pass)/ BA (hons.) Arts in 10 + 2+ 3 pattern from a recognized university.
They should have scored a minimum of 50% as aggregate in B.A. level examination excluding all those subjects which required only pass marks and were not included in the final degree marksheet.
The subject which the candidate is seeking admission into must have been studied by him/ her in all the three years at undergraduate level.
Faculty of Social Sciences
BHU PET candidates should have passed BA (Pass)/ BA(hons.)/ B.Sc. (Pass)/ B.Sc. (hons.) in 10 + 2 +3 pattern from a recognized university.
They should have compulsorily secured at least a minimum aggregate of 50% in B.A./ B.Sc. Level exam excluding those subjects which required only passing marks and were not included in the final degree marksheet.
The candidate must have studied the subject he seeks admission into at undergraduate level in all the three years.
Faculty of Commerce
Candidates seeking admissions into PG courses offered by Faculty of Commerce should have studied B.Com (Pass)/ B.Com. (hons.) in 10 + 2 +3 pattern from a recognised university.
They should have also scored at least 50% as minimum aggregate in B.Com level excluding those courses which are not included in the final degree marksheet and require only passing marks.
Candidate must have studied the subject he/ she is applying for in all the three years at undergraduate level.
Institute of Sciences
Candidates seeking admissions into Institute of Sciences must have studied B.Sc. (pass)/ B.Sc. (hons.) in 10 + 2 + 3 pattern from a recognized university.
Candidates must have scored 50% as minimum aggregate in all science subjects at B.Sc. Level except for those subjects which are not included in the final degree marksheet.
Subject which the admissions are being sought to by the candidate should have been studied him/ her as one of his/ her subjects at the graduation level.
BHU PET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Relaxations
SC/ ST Category
There is no requirement for candidates from SC/ ST category to score minimum marks in the qualifying examination. The candidate must have only cleared the qualifying examination and appeared for BHU PET 2019.
OBC and PC Categories
There is a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate to be scored in the qualifying exam for OBC and PC categories.

Each correct answer will be of three marks.
Since there is negative marking, each incorrect answer will lead to a deduction of one mark.
Furthermore, answers improperly marked (marking more than one oval in the sheet, improper darkening of ovals, line or cross marks) will be treated incorrect thus leading to a deduction of one mark.

BHU PET 2019 – Exam Day Instructions
Candidates are advised to carefully go through the below mentioned instructions related to BHU PET 2019. Candidates must follow these instructions officially declared by BHU on the exam day.
Candidates will be given question booklet and answer booklet separately.
All the questions will have four options to choose the correct answer from. Candidates are to mark only one option on the OMR sheet.
Candidates will have to compulsorily carry their admit card along with their Aadhar card, else they will not be allowed to appear for exam. If candidates do not have their aadhar cards, they will have to furnish any of the following - passport no./ any bank account no./ ration no./ any valid government ID.
BHU PET 2019 allows the usage of only black/ blue ball/ink pen.
Candidates must refrain from striking off options which they have already encircled.
No candidate will be allowed to enter the hall thirty minutes after the exam begins.
No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam ends.
BHU will release BHU PET 2019 answer key for each course within five days after the conduct of concerned course in online mode. The university will be releasing answer key of BHU PET 2019 in two stages. Firstly, a provisional answer key will be released. In case a candidate wants to file an objection with the answer key, they can do so by filing their complaints with the online objection window. After taking into account all the objections, the university will release a final BHU PET answer key 2019. Candidates can refer to the BHU PET 2019 answer key to crosscheck their marks and assess their performance in BHU PET 2019.
Banaras Hindu University will announce BHU PET 2019 result for all PG courses includng M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., and so on, in the first to second week of June 2019. Upon clicking the link, candidates will have to enter their roll number after which their BHU PET 2019 result will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are required to save and retain their results till the time of admission for further references. M.Sc Computer Science
Banaras Hindu University will release BHU PET 2019 merit list in online mode after the declaration of results and cut offs. The merit list of BHU PET 2019 will announced separately for different PG courses including M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., etc. The BHU PET merit list 2019 will list candidates who have qualified as per BHU PET cut off 2019 and their roll numbers. BHU PET 2019 merit list will be taking into account only the scores/ ranks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
The university will be starting with BHU PET 2019 counselling from the month of July onwards (after the declaration of results, cut offs, and merit list). Only those candidates will be shortlisted for counselling of BHU PET 2019 who will qualify in BHU PET 2019 and fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidates shortlisted for BHU PET counselling 2019 will be sent electronic call letters which they will be able to access in the ‘candidate segment’ in the BHU PET online portal 2019. Candidates will be asked to fill their preferences online and report to the counselling venue on a specified date with the requisite documents. The procedure of BHU PET 2019 counselling will be computerized. The computer will allot seats solely on the basis of candidates’ preferences, availability of seats, and merit obtained.
