BHU PET 2020 - Banaras Hindu University will release the admission notification of BHU PET 2020 along with the application form in the second week of February 2020. Candidates who wish to take admission in various UG and PG courses offered by the university can fill and submit the application form of BHU PET 2020 until the third week of March 2020. The university offers postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Commerce, Institute of Science, Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Faculty of Social Sciences through BHU PET 2020. The admit card of BHU PET 2020 will be released in the second week of May 2020. Banaras Hindu University Postgraduate Entrance Test will be conducted from the third to fourth week of May 2020. After commencement of entrance examination, the result of BHU PET 2020 will be declared in the third week of June 2020. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria of BHU PET 2020 before filling the application form to check whether they are eligible for the programmes they want to apply for. BHU PET 2020 eligibility criteria will vary for different post graduate programmes offered by the university. Candidates must note that if they are found to be not fulfilling the eligibility criteria of BHU PET 2020, their applications will be cancelled even at later stages of admissions.
Institute of Agricultural Sciences
Candidates with 4 year B.Sc Agriculture/ B.Sc Hons. Agriculture degree in a credit based course programme are eligible for admission in M.SC programme.
Candidates with a four year degree in B.Sc Hons. Horticulture degree in a credit based course programme will be eligible for admission in M.Sc Horticulture.
Candidates with four year B.Sc Animal Husbandry and Dairying degree in a credit based course programme will be eligible for admission in M.Sc Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development
Candidates who wish to take admission in any of these programmes must have completed B.Sc Hons./ B.Sc under 10+2+3 pattern/ B.Sc Hons. Agriculture/ MBBS/ B.Pharma/ B.E/ B.Tech or an equivalent programme offered by Banaras Hindu University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Faculty of Arts
Applicants must have passed BA (Pass)/ BA (hons.) Arts in 10 + 2+ 3 pattern from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% as aggregate in B.A. level examination excluding all those subjects which required only pass marks and were not included in the final degree marksheet.
For admission in M.A ( Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian, Marathi, Persian, Nepali and Telugu), PG Diploma/ Advanced Diploma is required along with B. A degree. Candidates must have also scored at least 50% marks in their diploma, advanced diploma programme
Candidates must have studied the subject in which he/ she is willing to take admission in all the three years at the undergraduate level.
For Statistics, candidates are required to have studied maths at graduation level.
Faculty of Social Sciences
Applicants must have passed BA (Pass)/ BA(hons.)/ B.Sc. (Pass)/ B.Sc. (hons.) in 10 + 2 +3 pattern from a recognized university with at least 50% in B.A./ B.Sc. level exam excluding those subjects which required only passing marks and were not included in the final degree marksheet.
Candidates must also have studied the subject he seeks admission into at undergraduate level in all the three years.
A candidate who have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology/ B.Sc. with Psychology as hons. subject or a subject studied in all the three years at B.Sc. level is eligible for admission in M.Sc. in Psychology.
Any candidate who have passed B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.Tech is eligible for admission in M.A Economics.
Faculty of Commerce
Candidates must have passed B.Com (Pass)/ B.Com. (hons.) in 10 + 2 +3 pattern from a recognised university with at least 50% as minimum aggregate in B.Com level excluding those courses which are not included in the final degree mark sheet and require only passing marks.
Candidate must have studied the subject he/ she is applying for in all the three years at the undergraduate level.
Institute of Science
Candidates seeking admission into PG programmes offered by Institute of Science must passed B.Sc. (pass)/ B.Sc. (hons.) in 10 + 2 + 3 pattern from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate in all science subjects at B.Sc. Level except for those subjects which are not included in the final degree marksheet.
For M.Sc Zoology and M.Sc Botany, candidates must have also studied Chemistry at graduation level.
For M.Sc Statistics, candidates must have also studied Mathematics at graduation level.
For M.Sc Computer Science, candidates must have studied Computer Science and not IT, Computer Applications at graduation level.
Candidates must have studied the subject in which he/ she is seeking admission as one of his/ her subjects at the graduation level.
There is no percentage criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category. Candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination and appeared for the entrance examination.
There is 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage aggregate to be scored in the qualifying exam for OBC and PC categories.
The application form of BHU PET 2020 will be released in the second week of February 2020. Candidates who wish to take admission in PG courses offered by the university can fill the BHU PET 2020 application form by the third week of March 2020. To fill the application form of BHU PET 2020, candidates need to register themselves by visiting the BHU entrance test portal and entering the details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc. After registration is completed, candidates need to fill authentication form. Upon the successful authentication, candidates need to fill up the BHU PET 2020 application form by entering academic, personal and contact details. They also need to select the exam centre preferences and choices of course while filling out the application form of BHU PET 2020. After filling up the required details, candidates need to upload the photograph and signature to complete the application form. Candidates had both the options - online and offline - for fee payment against the BHU PET 2020 application form.

The entrance examination for admission in PG courses of Banaras HIndu University will be conducted in around 11t exam centres of BHU PET 2020. Candidates need to select BHU PET 2020 exam centres in the order of their preference in the application form. The online entrance examination will be conducted in all 28 states from the third to fourth week of May 2020. Candidates can check their BHU PET exam centres 2020 in the admit card. BHU holds every right to cancel an exam centre without any reason or due to insufficient number of candidates opting for the concerned centre. For MPed, MPA and MFA, the entrance examination will be held at the exam centre fixed by the university.
The university will release the admit card of BHU PET 2020 in the second week of May 2020 for the candidates who will successfully fill and submit the application form. To download the BHU PET 2020 admit card, candidates need to visit the BHU entrance test portal and login with the help of their registered login ID. BHU admit card 2020 mentions the important details related to the entrance exam like candidate’s name, course appearing for exam, exam centre, DOB, age, and so on. Candidates need to carry the admit card of BHU PET 2020 along with aadhar card to the examination hall to be able to sit for the entrance examination. Additionally, it is advised that the BHU admit cards for PG courses are retained by the candidates till the time of admission for further references.
Candidates appearing for BHU PET 2020 must adhere to the given below instructions on the day of examination.
No candidate will be allowed to appear in the entrance exam hall before the start of examination.

As per BHU PET exam pattern 2020, the two hour examination was conducted in online mode. BHU PET 2020 will consist of total 360 marks carrying 120 questions.

Candidates preparing for BHU postgraduate entrance test 2020 must solve the sample paper of BHU PET 2020 for preparing for the entrance examination. Candidates can download BHU PET sample paper 2020 by clicking on the link, and registering themselves with Careers360 or logging into their Careers360 account. Candidates will then select the programme of their choice for which they want to access the sample papers. Additionally, candidates can conduct their own mock test sessions wherein they finish one BHU PET 2020 sample paper within the same duration as that of the test.
BHU will release BHU PET 2020 answer key for various PG courses in the first week of June, 2020. To download the answer key of BHU PET 2020, candidates need to visit BHU entrance test portal and enter their login credentials. With the help of BHU PET answer key 2020, candidates can assess their performance in the entrance examination. If a candidate finds any discrepancy with the answer key of BHU PET 2020, he or she can raise an objection to the Office of the Controller of Examination in the stipulated time. After taking into account all the objections, the university will release final BHU PET answer key 2020.
Candidates who will appear on Banaras Hindu University Entrance Test can check the result of BHU UET 2020 in the third week of June 2020. BHU PET 2020 result will mention candidates’ overall marks, overall merit and category-wise merit. Only those candidates who will clear the cut off marks in BHU PET result 2020 will be eligible for further round of admission. Additionally, candidates will also be intimated about their result at their registered phone number and email account. Candidates are advised to retain their results till the time of admission for further references.

Banaras HIndu University will release BHU PET 2020 cut off in the first week of July 2020. The cut off of BHU PET 2020 will be released for all courses and categories. BHU PET 2020 cut off will be released for Male and Female candidates or female candidates only for all the programmes and categories. BHU PET cut off 2020 will mention the minimum marks which a candidate must have secured to qualify in the entrance test. Candidates who will clear BHU PET 2020 cut off marks will be eligible for the counselling round.
The university will release BHU PET 2020 merit list after the declaration of results and cut offs in online mode. The merit list of BHU PET 2020 will be announced separately for different PG courses including M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., etc. The admissions to various PG programmes offered by the university will be done taking into account the rank of candidates in the BHU PET 2020 merit list. For programmes having both practical and theory, merit list of BHU PET 2020 will be made on the basis of combined scores. BHU PET merit list 2020 includes candidates who will be considered as qualified as per the cut off marks released for different programmes.
The counselling of BHU PET 2020 will be done by the respective departments of various programmes from the first week of July, 2020. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for counselling of BHU PET 2020 who will qualify in BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test 2020 and fulfil the eligibility criteria.
Candidates shortlisted for BHU PET counselling 2020 will be sent electronic call letters which they will be able to access in the ‘candidate segment’ in the BHU candidate portal.
After downloading the call letter of BHU PET 2020 counselling, candidates need to login in the candidate’s section of entrance test portal. They are required to fill an online preference entry form.
Candidates need to fill the choice of course, seat type and preference of location in the entry form.
Candidate’s then need to report at the counselling venue where they need to sign the preference entry form. No further changes will be done after signing the preference entry form.
On the next day of counselling, candidates are required to collect the provisional admission letter.
Candidates can check the allotted course, admission fee and deadline of paying the fee in the provisional admission letter of BHU PET 2020.
