CUET score in the specific subject combination required for the Honours course is more important during DU seat allotment.

Yes, it’s a good score. Start your preference list with top colleges like Hindu, Miranda, Hansraj, followed by Gargi, Ramjas, and then backup options like Satyawati or Bhaskaracharya.

For BSc (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics in top DU colleges like Hindu College, Hansraj, Miranda House or St. Stephen's College, you should score at least 610 to 660 marks out of 750. For BSc in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences, you should score around 580 to 630 marks. For BSc Programme courses (not honours), a score of 540 to 600 marks is usually safe.

If you belong to the General category, you will need higher marks compared to reserved categories like OBC, SC, ST or EWS. Also, popular courses like Physics or Maths have higher cut-offs than less demanded subjects.

Most DU colleges now take admission through CUET exam. The cut-offs are usually based on CUET percentile, but if we convert them into marks out of 750, then a good score would be around 630 to 700 for top colleges.

Other good universities like BHU and JNU also take admission through CUET. For BSc in BHU, you may need 550 to 620 marks. For BSc-MSc integrated courses in JNU, the safe score is 600 to 670 marks. In universities like Jadavpur or Mumbai University, admission is based on 12th board marks, usually needing 80 to 90 percent.

With a CUET score of 533 out of 750 (approximately 71 percent ), your chances of getting Botany Honours at Delhi University under the General category are moderate to low , especially in the top colleges like Hindu College, Miranda House, or Hansraj College. These colleges usually demand scores above 600 (80 percent or higher) for General category students in popular science courses.

However, you may still have a chance in mid-tier or off-campus DU colleges depending on the cutoff trends and availability of seats in later rounds. Colleges like Dyal Singh College (Evening), Aditi Mahavidyalaya, or Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences may keep cutoffs around your range.

Hello aspirant,
Deen Dayal Upadhyay College does not offer a BBA program; instead, it provides a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) degree. For eligibility in BMS at DDU, candidates must have studied Mathematics (or Applied Mathematics) in Class 12. This requirement applies to all candidates, regardless of board or category. So, if you haven't taken Maths in 12th, you cannot apply for BMS at DDU. As for BBA, since DDU doesn't offer it, that option isn't available there either.

If you're keen on pursuing BBA outside DDU without Maths, some private or state-level institutions may accept students without Maths, but in Delhi University, Maths is essential for BMS admission.
