    CUET Exam New Pattern 2023:

    • Examination Mode: The exam will be conducted in online mode.

    • Type of Questions: the questions will be based on multiple choice questions (MCQ).

    • Language: the questions will be asked in the English language.

    • Choice of Subjects: A maximum of 10 subjects can be chosen by students.

    • Duration of Exam: Each paper will be of 2 hours duration.

    • Marking Scheme: each correct answer will be awarded 5 marks.

    • Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted.

    Competency Based Questions would be a minimum of 30% These can be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions, source-based integrated Questions, or any other types.

    Now, Multiply eq1 with 2 and equate it with eq2, we get:

    2x +4y = 8

    2x +5y = 9

    After subtracting we get, y = 1

    After putting the value of y in eq1, we get the value of y which is x = 2.

    Question :

    Assume Y, Z, W, and P are the matrices of order 3 x k, 2 x p, n x 3, and p x k respectively. The restrictions on n, k, and p so that PY + WY will be defined are;

    1. K = 3, p = n

    2. A: is arbitrary, p = 2

    3. P is arbitrary, k = 3

    4. K = 2, p = 3

    Solution:

    Y, Z, W, and P are of types 3×k, 2×p, n×3, and p×k respectively.

    Since PY is defined

    Therefore,

    Number of columns of P = number of rows of Y

    Hence, K=3

    Now PY is of type p×k

    And WY is of type n×k

    Since, PY + WY is defined

    Therefore, p = n

    Option (A) is correct

    Here we can see that the topic might be the same, but the question that was asked in the CUET exam requires a better understanding of the topic, only those students whose concepts are clear and who know the approach to such questions can solve these types of questions. On the other hand board exams require practice of different kinds of problems because their pattern is different, so it requires a different understanding as well.
