The CBT stands for Computer Based Test. Students are required to attend the CUET exam by visiting their allotted CUET centre where they are required to answer using the computer system provided to them by the NTA. As compared to the traditional offline exam mode, the CBT exam allows the students to enter their responses and keep a track of the exam time at the same time.
Here are some of the benefits of CUET CBT mode over OMR sheet:
Faster Results Evaluation: Computer-based tests may allow the NTA to evaluate CUET exam scores faster which would eventually help in announcing the results faster.
Reduced Errors: This system offers less scope for human error in marking answers compared to manual CUET OMR sheet.
Decreases paper wastage: When it comes to OMR sheets, a huge amount of paper of used for exams, whereas, CBT mode does not require that many resources.
Flexible Exam Centers: Any exam centre which has access to computers can be made into an exam centre. Whereas offline mode exams process higher logistical challenges.
Enhanced Security: Online testing can offer better security measures to prevent unfair means.
Note: Students are advised to carefully read the CUET CBT exam instructions before the exam starts.
