CUET 2025 Goes Fully Online: As many Class 12 students will be appearing for the CUET exam for the first time this year, it is important to be aware of all the important changes. One of the major changes made to CUET 2025 is the change of exam mode to Computer-based test. In the previous year, NTA conducted the CUET exam in hybrid mode, where test papers with the most number of registrations were held in offline (pen and paper) mode, and the others were conducted in online mode. In the UGC official notice released on December 11, 2024 the commission has announced that every test paper in CUET UG 2025 will be held in online mode. Aspirants are advised to read the entire article to learn more about the CUET UG exam mode and other relevant details about the entrance.

The CBT stands for Computer Based Test. Students are required to attend the CUET exam by visiting their allotted CUET centre where they are required to answer using the computer system provided to them by the NTA. As compared to the traditional offline exam mode, the CBT exam allows the students to enter their responses and keep a track of the exam time at the same time.
Here are some of the benefits of CUET CBT mode over OMR sheet:
Faster Results Evaluation: Computer-based tests may allow the NTA to evaluate CUET exam scores faster which would eventually help in announcing the results faster.
Reduced Errors: This system offers less scope for human error in marking answers compared to manual CUET OMR sheet.
Decreases paper wastage: When it comes to OMR sheets, a huge amount of paper of used for exams, whereas, CBT mode does not require that many resources.
Flexible Exam Centers: Any exam centre which has access to computers can be made into an exam centre. Whereas offline mode exams process higher logistical challenges.
Enhanced Security: Online testing can offer better security measures to prevent unfair means.
Note: Students are advised to carefully read the CUET CBT exam instructions before the exam starts.
The CBT stands for Computer Based Test. As per the UGC notice, CUET UG 2025 will be conducted entirely in online mode.
The NTA will likely release the CUET application form 2025 around February 15 in online mode.
The CUET 2025 exam duration is 60 minutes for all the test papers.
In response to UGC bringing down the total number of test papers to 37, the commission has introduced CUET GAT exam. For the CUET subjects that were removed such as Teaching Aptitude, Entrepreneurship and others, the GAT exam scores can be used.
There are no optional questions in UGC CUET 2025. Students are required to answer all the questions.
Hello,
You cannot get admission to engineering courses in Delhi University (DU) through CUET scores .
DU offers engineering courses under its Faculty of Technology, and admissions to these courses are based on JEE Main scores, not CUET.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
Delhi University (DU) offers various engineering courses under its Department of Technology.
Admission to these courses is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. However, some courses may also consider CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for admission.
The exact number of seats filled through CUET scores can vary each year and are not publicly disclosed.
Hope it helps !
Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.
Additionally, CUET has its own exam pattern, which includes multiple-choice questions divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Language proficiency(English/Hindi/regional languages)
- Section 2: Domain-specific subjects
- Section 3: General Aptitude
It's also important to note that while JEE Mains is a separate entrance exam, some universities may consider both CUET and JEE Mains scores for admission to certain programs. However, the specific admission criteria may vary depending on the university and course.
To confirm the admission criteria for your desired course, I recommend checking the official websites of the participating universities or contacting them directly.
Yes, if the CUET UG application form does not ask for the 10th marksheet upload and only requires a photograph and signature, your application should still be considered valid. Since you are currently appearing for the 12th exams, the system may not require additional documents at this stage. However, double-check the official guidelines or contact CUET support to confirm.
