The Banaras Hindu University will soon release the admission bulletin for the 2025 session. The BHU admission bulletin 2025 will be available on the website at bhuonline.in. As per the report by News18, the BHU is likely to introduce three changes related to the UG seats, courses duration and new programmes.
Banaras Hindu University is one of the prestigious universities of the country. The university offers various courses under arts, science and commerce streams. Along with BTech, MBA, diploma courses are also offered by the university. BHU does not conduct its own entrance test for the admission in UG, PG and other courses. It offers admission through CUET 2025 and CUET PG.
The number of seats in the undergraduate courses will be decreased with respect to the previous years.
UG courses will turn out to be 4 years courses instead of 3 years.
Several new courses will be introduced in the undergraduate courses from this year.
BHU is expected to decrease the number of seats in those courses where admission were less in the last year. The university will decrease up to 15 to 20% of available seats. Last year, 8894 students took admission in the UG courses. BHU UG has more than 100 courses in 16 different departments.
The Banaras Hindu University will initiate 4 year UG degree courses from the 2025 session. The university will revise all the fees structure and make it according to 4 years.
The report said that the BHU will soon release the information bulletin for the undergraduate courses. The BHU UG bulletin will be available in the pdf and available in the official website. The BHU bulletin will contain the revised regulations, total available and the newly added courses, eligibility, admission dates and admission criteria.
To take admission in the UG courses, one must fulfill the below criteria.
Applicant who has successfully completed/ is appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India.
They must secure 50% of marks in their last qualifying examination.
Must qualify the CUET UG in the respective domain subject.
The university will soon start the registration process. Candidates will have to fill the registration form. They are also required to enter all the relevant details followed by the uploading documents. Without the requisite BHU application fees submission, the form will not be accepted.
