The candidates are required to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks

B.A. (Hons.) Economics

For B.A. (Hons.) Economics, the candidate must have had Mathematics as one of the subjects in HSC examinations

B.A. (Hons.) Social Sciences

The candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam with 50% as the minimum aggregate

B.Com. (Hons.)/B.Com. (Hons.) Financial Markets Management

The candidate should have scored 50% as minimum aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Commerce/Mathematics/Economics/Financial Markets Management/Finance Computer Science/Vocational courses as one of the subjects

B.Sc. (Hons.) Bio

The candidate must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examinations with a minimum aggregate of 50% of subjects physics, chemistry, and any one of the following subjects: Biology, Geology, and Geography

B.Sc. (Hons.) Math

In class 10+2 or its corresponding, the candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% in subjects like physics, mathematics, and any one of the following subjects: chemistry, statistics, geology, computer science, information technology and geography

BHU UG Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Age Requirement

Candidates applying for admission to the courses in Arts, Commerce and Science stream must not be more than 22 years as of July 1, 2023. Ideally, the candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after July 1, 2000. The candidates have to check the CUET BHU eligibility criteria before applying.

BHU UG Eligibility 2023 - Relaxation

Candidates of reserved categories (SC, ST and PwD) are provided reservation by the Banaras Hindu University. Check the table given below to know the relaxation provided to the reserved category candidates.

BHU UG Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Things to keep in mind

  • Candidates who are still in the final year of their qualifying examination or are waiting for the result are eligible to apply for admission. They can provide the original mark sheets after or at the end of the admission process. If a candidate fails to provide the mark sheets, then their application form will be cancelled.

  • If the qualifying exam mark sheet of the candidate does not mention the grade points in percentage form, then the candidates have to provide a Certificate of Conversion from the concerned institution which either mentions the converted percentage or the formula of conversion from grade points to a number.

  • The required degrees/certificates for BHU UG 2023 submitted by candidates during the admission process must be from a recognized Indian university.

  • The applicants will have to compulsorily match all the BHU UG eligibility criteria 2023. Even if an ineligible candidate passes the entrance exams, he/she will not be considered eligible for BHU UG 2023 admissions and nor his attempting the entrance would stand to his defence.

  • Candidates can apply for different programmes while filling out their application form, however, they must ensure that their selected BHU exam centres 2023 is on different dates.

  • After admission, candidates cannot simultaneously pursue any other programmes from BHU or other universities.

If you want to get admission into IIT (BHU) Varanasi, you have to qualify through the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams. Admission is based entirely on merit and rank in JEE Advanced, which is one of the toughest and prestigious engineering entrance exams in India. Only if you clear JEE mains and score within the top ranks then you are allowed to appear for JEE Advanced. The seat allotment for IIT BHU happens through the JoSAA counselling process. The eligibility criteria for admission to IIT Bhu  ,Varanasi is given below:-

At first , General/OBC/EWS applicants must have at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12  (or equivalent) with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).

If the first criteria is matched then go for the entrance exam, Jee main and as well as if you will qualify it then you must give jee advanced and try to get a handsome score which improves your rank and as well as increasing your percentage to get a seat in IIT Bhu by JoSAA counselling .

And

For B.Arch, after Jee Advanced, candidates must also appear in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) during JoSAA  .

IITs also allocate seats reserved for GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD categories, as per JoSAA rules  .

And you may get a seat for Mtech in IIT Bhu through achieving a good gate score in gate exam through your relevant domain.
