KALAM - PAI, FREESHIP and SCHOLAR Scholarships for MBBS & BDS

Manipal Academy of Higher Education offers kalam-pai, freeship and scholar scholarships to the students of MBBS and BDS programmes. These scholarships are offered to the students based on their All India Ranks in the NEET examination. Details of kalam-pai, freeship and scholar scholarships are mentioned in the table below.

MAHE Manipal Scholarships: Based on NEET 2023 All India Rank

Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal scholarships are offered to MBBS and BDS students based on their rank in the NEET examination, as the rank range is mentioned in the table below.

Manipal University Scholarship for MBBS and BDS

In order to avail of the Manipal University scholarships, candidates need to secure rank below 1 lakh.

MAHE Scholarships: Based on Merit for PG Programmes

The scholarships for Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal courses are given in the form of a tuition fee waiver.

Note: Candidates are required to pay the full first year course fee + Rs. 10,000 refundable caution deposit at the time of reporting. Students at MAHE Manipal need to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books and more.

HBSF-MAHE EduEmpower scholarship for BTech students of MIT Manipal is to support meritorious students from less economically privileged sections of the society.

MAHE Scholarship For BTech: Guidelines

• Applicable for students admitted under general category only

• The HBSF-MAHE scholar will have to accept the hostel allocation (double attached non-AC) by MAHE Manipal.

• All India Ranking in the Manipal Entrance Test should be between 1 to 10,000

• The scholarship seats will be allotted to the candidates with topmost MET rank meeting the above mentioned criteria in the first round BTech common counselling.

Scholarship for Meritorious Girl students joining MIT Manipal

MAHE Manipal offers scholarships to meritorious girl students admitted to the following branches of the BTech programme under the general category at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal campus during academic year 2024-25.

• BTech Automobile Engineering

• BTech Chemical Engineering

• BTech Civil Engineering

• BTech Industrial Engineering

• BTech Mechanical Engineering

MAHE Manipal Scholarships For Girls: Eligibility Criteria

In order to avail of the MAHE scholarships for girls, candidates need to secure at least 60% aggregate marks in class 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and optional subjects. MAHE scholarship involves 30% of the course fee payable.

MAHE Scholarship for BPharm

Candidates need to secure a rank below 100 in order to get freeships and scholarships.

MAHE Scholarships for BSc Nursing

Manipal University scholarships are awarded to meritorious students admitted to the BSc Nursing programme offered by Manipal College of Nursing (MCON) Manipal.

Manipal Scholarship Criteria for BSc Nursing

• Scholarships will be offered to the 15 candidates with top most MET rank who complete the admission formalities in the first round of MAHE Manipal admission process

• Candidates need to meet the minimum eligibility requirements of 80 % marks in class 12 with PCB subjects

• MAHE scholarships is applicable for the entire duration of the programme

• Manipal University scholarships involve 50 % waiver of the course fee

Manipal Foundation - MAHE Scholarships

Manipal Foundation - MAHE Scholarships are offered to the students who have undergone the scholar programme supported by Manipal Foundation and admitted in the following programmes.

• UG Allied Health Sciences

• BSc Nursing

• DPharma

• BPharma

Guidelines for Manipal Foundation - MAHE Scholarships

This scholarship is open to students from all PU colleges other than those founded by The Academy of General Education (AGE) Manipal / Dr. TMA Pai Foundation institutions.

• Those students who have attended the full 2 years (11th and 12 grade) “Scholar programme” rendered by Manipal Foundation through its partners

• Top 25 students in the Karnataka PU Boards examinations based on the selection criteria i.e. (Physics + Chemistry + Biology) are eligible for this scholarship

• The students who wish to avail the MAHE scholarship must apply under the general category

Manipal Foundation - MAHE Scholarships: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed class 12 with 70 % aggregate marks recognised by the Karnataka State Board

• A certificate from Manipal Foundation stating that the student was a Bonafide student of the scholar programme for both the 11th and 12th standards and should have a minimum of 75% attendance while pursuing the scholar programme

• MAHE scholarship is available for the entire programme duration, starting from the year of admission with a minimum eligibility requirements for the UG and PG programmes

MAHE Merit Scholarships for International Students

Manipal University awards scholar and achiever scholarships to International / Indian nationals students admitted to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under the foreign / NRI / NRI sponsored category scholarship guidelines.

Eligibility For Merit Scholarships for International Students

UG Programmes: 75 % aggregate or equivalent in class 12

PG Programmes: 75 % aggregate or equivalent in undergraduate

National Scholarship Portal (NSP), Govt of India

NSP provides a common electronic portal for implementing various scholarships schemes launched by Union Government, State Government and Union Territories across the country.

State Scholarship Portal (SSP), Govt of Karnataka

SSP is a state portal that covers all the scholarship schemes offered by the Karnataka state government, to provide financial aid for the education of the students of the underprivileged sections. SSP portal is a single application portal for all the pre-matric and post-matric scholarships provided by the different departments of Karnataka State.

Financial Aid to Indian / Domestic (General Category) Students

Vidya Lakshmi is a first of its kind portal for students seeking an education loan. This portal has been developed under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development) & Indian Banks Association (IBA). Some of the educational loans given to the students are as follows.

Note: A student is eligible to avail only 1 scholarship, at any point in time. All scholarship eligible students are required to apply for the scholarship via MAHE scholarship application form, made available on completion of the admission process. All the scholarship schemes are governed by the policies and regulations of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). In the event of any dispute, the decision of MAHE shall be final.
