Careers360: How should a student choose specializations? What are the basic parameters to make their choice?

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: As Department of Liberal Arts, MAHE Bengaluru has both double majors and single major programmes. Depending on the interest and choice of field in which students want to build their career in, they can make their choice. In case of doubts regarding subject and career choice, students must talk to their teachers and guardians. Students must select the specialization which is best suited for them.

Careers360: How important is the interview round of MAHE Bengaluru admission process?

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: The interview round of MAHE Bengaluru admission process is more like one on one interaction with the student to know the interest, communication skills, career goals. It also helps the students to get exposure and they can introspect about their personality.

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: Yes, internships and projects are offered to the students according to their course and streams. A four-week internship is provided as a trainee level intern in the relevant field.

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: Yes, 100% placement support provided to the students on the compilation of their course. The MAHE Bengaluru placements are provided based on their domain, course specialization and other important aspects that will help them in their field of interest.

Careers360: Explain about the four years Honours course at MAHE Bengaluru.

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: DLHS, MAHE Bengaluru has Honours programme for four years also. However, students have the option to exit after the completion of 3 years and can continue their fourth year for an Honours degree. Also, the fourth year is not for every student because the department has certain criteria for the fourth year as per UGC guidelines. During the sixth semester, the total CGPA of the last five semesters are calculated and if the CGPA meets the criteria only then the student is invited for the fourth year of Honours degree.

Dr. Shilpa Kalyan: At Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, MAHE Bengaluru, the department provides diverse knowledge and industry experience so that students can apply the skill and excel in their career just after graduation.
