Let us have a look at the placement data that is available to answer this question. At IGNOU, the promise of flexible learning is working well with the kind of job opportunities that are available. IGNOU conducts placement drives to place students passing out. However, owing to distance, the students participating in such drives seems limited. In 2022-23, IGNOU conducted eight placement drives. Recent placement drives show a steady rise in success rates, with the placement rate moving from 21 per cent in 2021–22 to 30 per cent in 2022–23.

Hello Niharika,

Not qualifying for Delhi’s D.El.Ed. isn’t the end of your teaching career plans. Haryana’s D.El.Ed. is recognized by NCTE and is a valid route to becoming a primary school teacher. Many students from outside Haryana apply and get admission, though you should note that some seats are reserved for Haryana domicile candidates. Your plan to do B.A. from IGNOU alongside D.El.Ed. is very smart—it keeps you academically progressing and later makes you eligible for B.Ed., which will open doors for teaching in higher classes as well. Make sure you check the Haryana Board’s eligibility criteria before applying and confirm if your preferred institute offers quality teaching practice and internships. Good faculty and practical exposure during D.El.Ed. matter a lot for skill development. Overall, this is a good alternative and keeps you on track toward your long-term goal.

Thank you, and I hope this clears your doubt.

Your 10th and 12th certificates have Shaikh at the beginning, but your Aadhaar and bank have it at the end. IGNOU used the Aadhaar name, so your graduation name doesn’t match school records, and even ABC ID isn’t linking.

It's better to match your graduation name with your 10th and 12th, since those are used for most verifications. You can update your Aadhaar later using an affidavit and supporting documents. This will avoid issues in jobs and higher studies.

Hi there!

As you had completed 10th, then BPP from IGNOU, and then B.Com, but don’t have a 12th certificate, many employers may reject you because BPP is not recognized as equivalent to 12th by all sectors. Instead of a diploma, it’s better to do NIOS 12th, which is fully valid across jobs and education. It’s flexible and can be completed in 1–1.5 years. Once done, you’ll be eligible for:Government jobs,Banking/SSC, or PG courses.

Alternatively, you may look into Skill India programs or NSDC-certified vocational diplomas. Some options:

  • Diploma in Computer Applications
  • Retail Management
  • Electrician or  Technician courses
  • Medical Lab Technology

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can register for the Company Secretary (CS) Executive Program. As you have done BPP (Bachelor's Preparatory Program) and B. com from IGNOU (a recognized and established University), you are eligible to register for the CS Executive course legitimately. Please ensure that you have your graduation marksheet and all relevant documents to hand at the time of registration.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can do an MBA after the BPP B. com from IGNOU, provided that you meet the eligibility requirements of the university or college that runs the MBA program. The BPP (Bachelor's Preparatory Program) certificate from IGNOU, followed by the B. com degree is accepted as credentialed by most institutions, especially open universities and distance learning institutions. Programs of study that are full-time or ranked highly - generally MBA programs from reputed institutions such as IIMs or other rank recognized private B-schools - will typically require:

  • Credentialed Bachelor's degree (the B. com degree from IGNOU)
  • Entrance exam scores (examinations include, but are not limited to, CAT, MAT, XAT, and university specific tests)
  • Although not very common, some programs do ask for 10+2 qualification, so each university will have its own eligibility criteria requirements.

If you are looking for flexible or distance MBA programs, both IGNOU and some open universities like Symbiosis (SCDL), NMIMS Global, or Annamalai University, should also accept you as a student.
