LPU Study Abroad Program- Overview

Credit Transfer Programme: This programme gives flexibility to those section of the students who due to financial constraint keep their yearning to study abroad on hold. In this program, the credit earned by the students in LPU is transferred to the partnering foreign university. Students complete half of the degree in LPU and the later half of the degree, they complete it in the foreign university where their credit is transferred. The final degree certificate is issued to the students by the partner university.

Semester Exchange Programme: This programme allows the students to spend one full semester in the partnering foreign university and then complete the degree from LPU. The programme aims at building social, academic and professional global skills in the students through one semester study at the partnering foreign university.

International Exposure Programme: The programme is conducted during the summer and winter vacations and it is conducted in the form of courses in academic and non-academic form. It aims at giving students a firsthand experience and broadening learning beyond theoretical knowledge. Here, students get the much desired study abroad experience without interfering with the academic schedule.

International Internships Opportunities: From the very name, this opportunity indicates an option for the students to apply for an internship relevant to their discipline in any LPU partnered foreign university and companies. Students can avail this opportunity at their final year of degree or last semester. Here, students will be paid a small stipend while they are interning in the partner university or company.

Masters Abroad Programme: This programme is for those students who have completed bachelor’s degree in LPU and want to apply for masters abroad programme. Considering the merit criteria, students will be offered preferential scholarships and seats in LPU partnered foreign universities.

To make the entire study abroad initiative grounded, some of the leading foreign universities with whom LPU has joined hands are- University of California, Sate University New York, McGill University, Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Wisconsin Madison, Newcastle University, Brock University and many other well recognized foreign universities. For the paperworks and other official process fulfilment, LPU has started a department dedicated to international affairs. This division helps and supports the interested candidates to understand the guidelines of the program and complete paperworks based on the admission criteria.
