The varsity has fixed charges for the hostel and mess of VIT University. Students can also change their mess on a monthly basis. VIT usually offers branches like CSE with specialization in AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity and Software Engineering for top ranking students. Given that your state rank is within 200, you should find yourself eligible for the most sought after branches in the first round itself. You're guaranteed to at least meet the cut-off for the most sought after branches. That said, the final allotment will depend on the number of applicants, their preferences, and number of seats available, so make sure to be smart about what you list in terms of your top preferences.

With 6500 rank in VIT Integrated M. Tech, you have good chances to get VIT-AP or VIT Bhopal as they generally have a large intake capacity and comparatively lower cutoff. Getting VIT Chennai will be difficult as typically it has a higher closing rank, and it also has a lot of competition. Nevertheless, you should really wait for the official counselling rounds, as the cutoffs change every year by a small margin depending on how many students apply, seat availability, etc.
