The university will employ a tie-breaking formula if there are two or more candidates who receive the same GNDU ranking. When tie-breakers are employed, a number of factors come into play, including candidates' scores in the qualifying exam, their age, and several others.

GNDU Inter-Se-Merit/Tie-Breaking Criteria 2025

The Guru Nanak Dev University inter-se-merit tie-break is worked out using the below-given variables in a predetermined order of preference.

• Candidates with higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given preference.

• In case the above doesn’t break the tie, the older candidates will be given preference

For B.P.Ed. and B.P.E.S, the GNDU merit will be worked out in the following way:

• Written test - 60 marks

• Sports Achievements - 40 marks

Note: For B.P.E.S and B.P.Ed., the qualifying percentage for entrance examination is 50%.

GNDU Counselling 2025

Guru Nanak Dev University will begin offering counselling for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university campus.
