GNDU Result Grading System is a tool developed by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) to assist students in understanding their academic performance. It also provides students with a detailed analysis of their academic performance. The GNDU grading system is based on a 10-point scale, with A+ as the highest grade and E as the lowest. Each grade is assigned a value that corresponds to a specific numerical range. This grading system helps students to better understand their academic performance and to identify areas of improvement.
The university will employ a tie-breaking formula if there are two or more candidates who receive the same GNDU ranking. When tie-breakers are employed, a number of factors come into play, including candidates' scores in the qualifying exam, their age, and several others.
The Guru Nanak Dev University inter-se-merit tie-break is worked out using the below-given variables in a predetermined order of preference.
Candidates with higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given preference.
In case the above doesn’t break the tie, the older candidates will be given preference
For B.P.Ed. and B.P.E.S, the GNDU merit will be worked out in the following way:
Written test - 60 marks
Sports Achievements - 40 marks
Note: For B.P.E.S and B.P.Ed., the qualifying percentage for entrance examination is 50%.
Following the announcement of GNDU results and the GNDU 2025 merit list and allocation, shortlisted candidates are contacted for GNDU 2025 counselling. Guru Nanak Dev University will begin offering counselling for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university campus.
