Q1: How does BMU prepare students for their careers?

Career readiness starts during year one with Practice School I. Students start to understand and immerse themselves in the industry and the culture of the working world. Courses like "The Joy of Engineering" are designed to stimulate problem-solving and team-building activities early on.

As students continue, Practice School II and III provide additional hands-on experiences through internships and full-semester projects, ranking them for pre-placement offers to various employers. After completing the programme, the Career Guidance and Development Cell (CGDC) supports placements with top recruiters like Commvault Systems, Deloitte, Hero MotoCorp, MG Motors, KPMG India, and Flipkart.

Q2. Do students get practical exposure or industry experience in the early years?

Internships normally follow as students develop academic depth throughout their programme. First-year students are quickly and early on in their university experience working on hands-on projects and industry-simulated tasks (Practice School I, dedicated labs, and project-based learning). All of these practical experiences allow first-year students to apply their learning practically. These experiences can be seen as a precursor to formal internship experiences in subsequent years.

Q3: What kind of training or support is provided for interviews and technical assessments?

Yes, support is embedded throughout the learning journey. Faculty and industry experts provide mentorship throughout the learning journey from classroom discussions to Practice School II & III and beyond. The academic plan provides students with equal opportunity to hone their technical knowledge, communication, and professional skills. Many of the same tools and technologies that are specific to disciplines (research) are also used in Practice School to make sure that when internship and placement opportunities arise, they are ready.

If you are open to getting admission next year, it is better to prepare again and go for Tier 1 colleges like IIMs, NMIMS, Symbiosis, FMS, MDI, etc since their placements will be much better.
