How many marks should I score in Jamia entrance Test to get admission in Jamia University for BSC Biotech (Hindu Candidate)

Afreen .A 1st May, 2019

Hello Mukund,

So basically there are no cutoffs for bsc. You can get admission in Jamia by just passing the entrance exam. It requires only 50% of the aggregate marks in 12th and rest is your entrance test. About the entrance test, you will be passed if you just score about 40-50 out of 100. Then you can surely get admission in general category. JMI doesn't disclose the cutoffs. better try to score more than 70 questions.

For further queries & doubts: comment below please or go through: https://www.sarvgyan.com/articles/jamia-admission-eligibility

All the very best for the exam.

Thank you.

I am a commerce student. I am very confused what course should I have opt for. Please help me in choosing a good course.

Santwana J Singh Student Expert 20th Mar, 2019

Hello Shahjad!

Commerce stream has diverse fields available to study and build a good career. You first figure out that which subject in your basic 12th level is your favourite and is very interesting.

E.g If accounts is your favourite then you must go for Chartered Accountancy.

Listen to yourself, your interest. Wherever you have keen interest, it is better to opt that course.

All the Best!

is it necessary to give a portfolio? bcoz i do not no how to make a portfolio.

Sayam Smruti 20th Mar, 2019

Dear Mariya,

If you don't have your portfolio you are still eligible to apply for the interview in Jamia Millia Islamia. But as there will be separate marks allocated for producing the portfolio you will be losing your marks in that particular section. A portfolio which basically is a documentary proof/evidence of your media-related work and extra-curricular activities. Your portfolio can consist of:

1. Proof of production work (audio/visual media-based)
2. Proof of participation in social activities (involvement with NGOs or social organizations)
3. Published work (Articles, stories or other work published in reputed journals and magazines)
4. Proof of internship/work experience with a media house of repute
5. Proof of participation in extra-curricular activities (debating, painting, music, theatre etc.)
6. Proof of online work
The portfolio evaluation will be done for the three MA programmes (Mass Comm, Convergent Journalism, and Development Journalism). During the final result evaluation, Portfolio carries a weight of 55 marks.

I hope this helps you. Good Luck!
