Good evening ,
As you are willing to seek admission in JMI college for mass communication ,you will be needed to register yourself first for the entrance test portal available on the officajl website .the application forms are already released online on March 14th and last date for filling of forms will be on April 12th 2019 . However ,the entrance test will be offline mode and will be conducted in seven cities in India and that will be notified once the admit cards are out . So basically there are no cutoffs for bsc. You can get admission in Jamia by just passing the entrance exam. It requires only 50% of the aggregate marks in 12th and rest is your entrance test. About the entrance test, you will be passed if you just score about 40-50 out of 100. Then you can surely get admission in general category. JMI doesn't disclose the cutoffs. better try to score more than 70 questions.

assuming that you re a Muslim ,you can get JMI in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in 6 th round councelling. as closing cutoff was 60226 and 60029 respectively.

Commerce stream has diverse fields available to study and build a good career. You first figure out that which subject in your basic 12th level is your favourite and is very interesting.
E.g If accounts is your favourite then you must go for Chartered Accountancy.
Listen to yourself, your interest. Wherever you have keen interest, it is better to opt that course.

If you are interested in pursuing a Masters Degree in Mathematics you can opt for any of the options below:
MSc in Mathematics under Meta University Program.
MSc in Mathematics with computer science.
M.Tech in Computational Mathematics.
MSc. Tech in Industrial Mathematics and Computational Approaches.
Among which MSc in Mathematics under meta university program is a course developed by a joint approach by JMI as well as Delhi University.
MSc in Mathematics is a regular course where you will be studying Mathematics combined with various computational approaches.
M.Tech in Computational Mathematics is a self-financed course at the university.
MSc.Tech in Industrial Mathematics and Computational Application is also a self-financed course.
All the entry will be based on your entrance examination rank, while M.Tech in Computational Mathematics will be based on 70 Marks in the Entrance exam and 30 Marks in Interview. For the MSc degree under meta university program 10 seats will be allocated to each university including the reserved seats.
Eligibility Criteria: For an MSc degree you need to at least have a graduation degree in mathematics, candidates in the final year of the degree can also apply for the same.
While for MTech degree you should have a BTech degree or an MSc degree to apply for the entrance exam.

If you don't have your portfolio you are still eligible to apply for the interview in Jamia Millia Islamia. But as there will be separate marks allocated for producing the portfolio you will be losing your marks in that particular section. A portfolio which basically is a documentary proof/evidence of your media-related work and extra-curricular activities. Your portfolio can consist of:
1. Proof of production work (audio/visual media-based)2. Proof of participation in social activities (involvement with NGOs or social organizations)3. Published work (Articles, stories or other work published in reputed journals and magazines)4. Proof of internship/work experience with a media house of repute5. Proof of participation in extra-curricular activities (debating, painting, music, theatre etc.)6. Proof of online workThe portfolio evaluation will be done for the three MA programmes (Mass Comm, Convergent Journalism, and Development Journalism).
