BHU UET Exam PatternBHU UET Exam Pattern 2018 – Banaras Hindu University, the exam conducting authority, will release the exam pattern for BHU UET 2018 for admission to various undergraduate programmes like B.A, B.Sc. By referring to the BHU UET 2018 exam pattern, candidates will be able to understand details about the exam like the type of questions, allotment of marks, duration of the test, marking scheme and other important instructions. There shall be a separate test for each course; however, there shall be a common entrance test for certain courses. For courses having common entrance test, the admission to the respective courses shall be made on the basis of merit of the candidate (in the common entrance test) and choice/ preference for course(s) mentioned by the candidate at the time of counseling and his/ her eligibility for the course. BHU UET 2018 Exam Pattern for B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com - Financial Market Management (FMM) -

 

Banaras Hindu University will be holding Common Entrance Test for B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com - FMM programmes. Candidates will be shortlisted from a common merit list prepared after the results are announced. At the time of counselling of BHU UET 2018 candidates can choose any of the programme.

BHU UET 2018: Exam appearing instructions

  • Candidates will be provided with a Question Booklet containing the questions and a separate Answer Sheet at the beginning of the Test

  • Candidates within 10 minutes of the issue of the Question Booklet, shall check the Question Booklet to make sure that it contains all the pages in correct sequence and that no page/question is missing. In case of any discrepancy in the Question Booklet, candidates shall bring it to the notice of the Superintendent/Invigilators

  • Candidates are required to write his/her Roll Number, Question Booklet No. and Set No. (if any) at the space provided in the answer sheet. The details shall be filled with INK/Ball Point Pen only.  Candidates, in addition, are also required to fill up Roll Number in the space provided on the answer sheet by darkening the appropriate ovals with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only. (Note: Please note that any error in darkening the Roll Number or writing set number will result in wrong evaluation of the Answer Sheet. Candidates can note that non-filling of Set No (if any), Roll No. and other vital details would lead to non-evaluation of Answer Sheet and cancellation of his/her candidature.

  • Each question will be followed by four alternative answers. The candidate is required to identify the correct answer and record the answer by darkening the appropriate oval in the answer sheet with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only.

NOTE: If more than one oval is darkened or an oval is darkened in any other method like tick mark, cross mark, use of dot, line mark and half-filled oval or mark outside the oval shall not be evaluated or treated as incorrect answer.

  • Candidates are supposed to leave all the ovals against that question as blank if any question is not attempted. Such an answer will be awarded zero marks.

  • The blank space/page at the end of Question Booklet can be used for rough work. No page from the Question Booklet is to be torn or removed as it will be treated as punishable and shall not be allowed to continue in the Entrance Test

Marking Scheme for BHU UET 2018

  • Each question of BHU UET 2018 carries three marks and overall marks is 450 for 150 questions

  • In case of each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted from the total scored marks

  • Candidates attempting questions with more than one option will be considered wrong and negative marking will be done

  • If candidates do not attempt a question no marks will be awarded

Some important tips for BHU UET 2018

  • Candidates are required to reach the allotted exam centre of BHU UET 2018 at least an hour before the scheduled time

  • Candidates reaching BHU UET 2018 test centre after 30 minutes of scheduled time won’t be allowed in the examination hall

  • Candidates must carry BHU UET 2018 admit card as issued to them. The admit card of BHU UET 2018 mentions candidate’s details including photographs and signature, exam details and exam centre details
