Hello sir,i have a doubt, if i give an improvement exam in 12th board then will the new appeared marksheet be marked with the "Second Attempt" or any other sign that shows that the marksheet is of improvement exam...or it will be exactly same as 1st marksheet

Tanya Gupta 10th Feb, 2024

Hello,

Yes,When you give an improvement examination in 12th board, the new marksheet will typically mention that it is an improvement examination. It may have a remark stating that it is a Improvement or Second Attempt to differentiate it from the original marksheet. This helps in maintaining transparency and clarity regarding the examination attempts.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

Hello,

If your son failed to take admission in class 11, it's challenging to prepare for class 12 directly. However, he can consider options like enrolling in a comprehensive JEE Main preparation course, pursuing self-study, or exploring open schooling programs. It's crucial to discuss these options with him and seek guidance from academic counselors or coaching institute mentors.

Can I apply in Harvard for Bs in Computer Science after completing my class 12 from Nios ... what are the fees and criteria required for admission

OISHEE BANERJEE 2nd Jul, 2025

Yes, you can apply to Harvard for a BS in Computer Science even after completing Class 12 from NIOS. Harvard accepts students from various educational boards, including open schooling, as long as your academic records are strong and well-documented. Admission is highly competitive and depends on multiple factors like academic performance, extracurriculars, essays, recommendation letters, and English proficiency scores such as TOEFL or IELTS. While SAT or ACT scores are optional, submitting them can strengthen your application.

The total cost of studying at Harvard is around 60 to 65 lakhs per year, including tuition, accommodation, and other living expenses. However, Harvard provides very generous financial aid. If your family income is below 70 lakhs per year, you may get significant scholarships or even attend almost for free, depending on your financial need.

I am studying in Nios for my class 12....Can I apply for Harvard for studying Bs in Computer Science...what are the fees and criteria for it?

Ishita 21st Aug, 2024

Yes, you can apply to Harvard for a B.S. in Computer Science even when you are studying through NIOS.

Harvard University is one of the most competitive universities in the world. Admission is offered after taking a holistic review of several factors: academic performance and standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation.

Here's the academic part in a gist:

High Grades: While NIOS usually has its own grading system, Harvard will review the quality of grades comparatively based on the context of your high school. Thus, an attempt should be made for an extremely high GPA or equivalent.

SAT or ACT: SAT or ACT are the standardized tests required for Harvard University. You should try to get majestically high scores in both the Math and Verbal/Reading sections.

While not required, high grades on SAT Subject Tests in math and science can be helpful.

Extracurricular Activities: Admission to a graduate engineering program requires your extracurriculars to show that you have a passion for the field. This might mean participating in programming competitions or engaging in robotics clubs and research.

Personal Statement: An interesting personal statement that informs about the applicant's unique qualities, motivations, and goals.

Letters of Recommendation: Get strong letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or employers to attest to your abilities and character.

Fees:

Tuition: Harvard tuition is quite high. You may visit their official website for the most updated and accurate tuition fees. You also have to pay for housing and meals.

Harvard offers a lot of scholarships and grants. There are work-study programs too available for you.

Hope this helps

I have 5 subjects in class 12 ISC and Maths is my optional subject sif i fail in maths will i be declared fail in boards ?

Tanya Gupta 24th Jan, 2024

Hello,

If you've been declared pass in the 12th board exams, even if you failed in an optional subject like Maths, you generally don't need to appear for compartment exams. Since you would have passed in 4 subjects, you will be declared passed but your marksheet will show fail in mathematics which can be a issue if you are planning to pursue further education from top universities.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
