what are the topics for class 12 practical exam 2020 for l.sc stream?

theeanonymous 27th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant ,

Since you have not mentioned any specific subject I am providing the details about class 12 Physics ,Chemistry and Biology practicals .

Under physics there will be having experiments based on (i) ray optics and (ii) current electricity. The main skill required in group (i) is to remove parallax between a needle and the real image of another needle. In group (ii), understanding circuit diagram and making connections strictly following the given diagram . Polarity of cells and meters, their range, zero error, least count, etc. should be taken care of.

These are the list of experiments to be completed :

1.To find focal length of a convex lens by using u-v method (no parallax method)

2.To find f of a convex lens by displacement method

3.Using a metre bridge, determine the resistance of about 100 cm of  wire. Measure its length and radius and hence, calculate the specific resistance of the material.

4.Verify Ohm’s law for the given unknown  resistance (a 60 cm constantan wire), plotting a graph of potential difference versus current. Also calculate the resistance per cm of the wire from the slope of the graph and the length of the wire.

When it comes to Chemistry you will have :

1.Titerations in which the molarity, concentration in grams L-1 / molecular mass and number of molecules of water of crystallisation/ percentage purity will be calculated

2.Study of the rate of reaction where you will find the relationship of rate with concentration, volume and time.

3.Identification of compounds and its  functional groups based on observations where you learn to differentiate on the basis of colours, solution, ring and precipitate.

4.Characteristic tests of carbohydrates and proteins

5.Qualitative analysis: identification of single salt containing one anion and one cation.

Under Biology:

1. Taxonomy: Study floral characteristics through dissection of flowers, drawing floral formula and diagrams of the given family

2.Simple biochemical and physiological experiments-To isolate DNA from available plant material.

3.Slide preparation( of any locally available flower, to show marginal / axile placentation.)

4. Spotting: (Identifying, drawing a labelled diagram and writing at least two

identifying characteristics of the sample).

i want to give jee mains in January 2021 and i have got 65 percent in class 12 . I am giving improvement exam in 2021 as private candidate . so giving improvement exam 2021 can help me as qualifying eligibilty criteria in jee mains 2021?

ARYAN SAGAR 26th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

If you have attempts left for jee mains then definitely you can give jee mains 2021.
This year due to covid - 19 situation the class 12th eligibility criteria has been given a relaxation. But there is no sure saying that this eligibility criteria will remain same for next year. And also your class 12th marks is 65% , so if this current rule or policy or you can say the eligibility criteria is scrapped then, it will create a problematic situation for you.

So, it will be better that you once again give you board examsand secure more than 75% to remain on a safer side. And one again prepare for jee mains with full confidence.

Also there is no offical announcement has been made for class 12th eligibility criteria for jee mains 2021. But if the pandemic situation gets controlled then there is a high chance that this class 12th passing eligibility criteria relaxation will be seized from students.

If you have given jee mains, then also check out our jee mains college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of colleges that you can get on basis of your jee mains rank :-

my class 11 basics are best what marks do I get if I only study class 12 and not class 11

Harsh Chandravanshi 26th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant!

Your question is a bit awkward but I will try my best to answer it.If you want to add more, comment it below. First of all you can not skip the class 11 even you know all the basics of 11th class. In Indian education system you have to pass 11th class to get admission in class 12.Hence you have to first pass the class 11 then you can go for 12 class.Although only the 12 class marks matter but you can not leave it.

I hope it helps!

Happy Hustling!

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 26th Oct, 2020
Hello,

A strong base is very important for JEE or any exam. You cannot perform well if your basic concepts are understanding is not clear and for that you class 11th syllabus is very important so without completing it properly, you will not be able to solve tricky question in JEE mains. So, distribute you timing strategically for every chapter and topic if you want to get good marks in JEE mains

I am in class 12 and I have three months left in jee mains first attempt, cbse boards are also coming my 11th class concepts are not well clear,I want to get 170+ in jee mains. What should I do now?

apeksha150598 25th Oct, 2020
Hello student,

I would suggest you work really hard for jee mains since you have a high goal to achieve. But with this you should not neglect your boards. You will have to give a lot of time for studying. You have to practice alot for mains and keep revising simultaneously with board preparations.
For board I would say you study to get a minimum percentage, no need for going very deep. Since you are from CBSE board, board preparations will only help you more with jee mains. So remember and by heart the concepts from board and practice and revise for jee mains.
You will surely succeed.

All the best!
