I am student of up board Hindi medium, can I write in English in up board exam in physics chemistry biology?

Priyanka Dasgupta 29th Aug, 2025

Yes, even if you are a student from a Hindi medium, you can answer the UP Board 12th Exam in English. The UP board allows students to choose the medium to write their examination. During the registration process, students can declare whether they want to answer the paper in Hindi or English. Make sure to maintain consistency while writing the paper; if you start in English, you can not switch back to Hindi.

I did not prepare at all for my 12th boards exam. Is it possible to skip boards exam this semester and again apply for it next year?

Mallika Thaledder 4th Sep, 2025

Yes, it is possible to appear for the 12th board examination next year. If you miss this year's exam, you will be marked as absent and your result will not be declared. After that, you can reapply as a private candidate through the CBSE website for the next academic session. However, it is advisable not to skip the examination as it can delay your future admission plans by one year.

im class 12th student from up board and i took admission in hindi medium school because im preparing for jee from home and school said that your medium in english, but just in if i got hindi medium option and i want to attempt my board in english will it elligible or not??

Garima Sihag 29th Aug, 2025

The Uttar Pradesh Board is quite flexible with its examination medium. Students can write their UP Board Class 12 exams in English medium even if they are registered in a Hindi medium school. The board's goal is to assess a student's knowledge of the subject matter, not the language in which they write the answers.

However, students must inform their school's administration about their intention to take the exams in English. They can guide the candidate through the correct procedure, and register him accordingly.

I got compartment in maths but overall percentage is 63. After compartment . I will give improvement next year and then Jee Mains/Advance . Is NIT/IIT accept those student . please help give genuine answer

gopi 23rd Apr, 2025

If you have been given a compartment in Mathematics but an overall percentage of 63, you need to first clear the compartment exam. Then, you can attempt the improvement exam to raise your marks. But where admissions into NITs and IITs are concerned, the eligibility criteria are strict.

  1. For JEE Mains,  you must fulfill the general eligibility requirements, including having cleared your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with at least 75% marks or falling within the top 20 percentile of your board (for general category). For reserved categories, the percentage requirement is waived. If you clear your compartment exam and score better marks, make sure you are eligible before applying for JEE Mains.
  2. For JEE Advanced, you have to qualify JEE Mains and satisfy the institute's eligibility criteria to become eligible for JEE Advanced. You must have cleared your Class 12 (or equivalent) exam, and any increase in marks after the compartment exam will be taken into account during the time of selection.

Finally, you can still appear for JEE Mains and Advanced after clearing the improvement and compartment exam, subject to your eligibility based on the marks and other criteria. It's always a good idea to strive hard in these exams to enhance your chances of getting into renowned institutes such as NITs and IITs.

To get bds seat in government college , the candidate must secure 450+ marks in neet ( for general category candidate )

Considering you as a general category candidate , you are just few marks less from expected cut off .
