I skipped my both pre boards . will my school deny my admit card for boards class 12

Ishita 1st Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

No, your school cannot deny your admit card for skipping your pre-boards.

Pre-boards are primarily practice exams to prepare you for the main board exams, they have nothing to do with your Admit Card that the Board of Examination publishes. The board actually has no clue about your pre-board exams and marks neither do they want to know about it because it plays no role in determining your marks in 12th.

While they are important for your preparation, they do not directly affect your eligibility to appear for the board exams. If your school still tells you so, show them the guidelines published by your Board of examination.

We were (not) the wiser after hearing the explanation.

(1) none

(2) neither

(3) nevertheless

(4) No Improvement

Option 1: (1)

Option 2: (2)

Option 3: (3)

Option 4: (4)

Team Careers360 5th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: (1)

Solution : The sentence can be improved using the first option "none".

The sentence "We were none the wiser after hearing the explanation" is a common saying used to convey that the explanation did not provide any new insights.

The meanings of the other options are as follows:

  • "Neither" typically requires a second part of the sentence to complete the comparison and is incorrect here.
  • "Nevertheless" means "in spite of that" or "however," and it is used to introduce contrasting information, which is inappropriate to be used here.

Therefore, the correct sentence is "We were none the wiser after hearing the explanation".
