AMU Cut off 2020 - Aligarh Muslim University releases the AMU 2020 cut off on the basis of the opening and closing ranks of the candidates as per the counselling rounds. The university does not release the AMU cut off on the basis of the scores of candidates. The university presents the qualifying AMU cut off 2020 which is needed to pass the AMU examination. The cut off of AMU 2020 will be released in online mode only on the official website of the university. The AMU cut off 2020 will be released separately for girls and boys. The candidates who qualify the AMU 2020 cut off will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. The AMU cut off 2020 is the rank that the candidates need to achieve to qualify for AMU 2020. There are some factors which affect the cut off released by the university such as the difficulty of the exam, the total number of test-takers etc.

Factors affecting AMU 2020 cut off

There are certain factors due to which the AMU cut off gets affected every year. The factors that help in determining the cut off are -

  • The difficulty level of the examination

  • The total number of test-takers

  • Minimum and the maximum scores acquired by the candidates

AMU Result 2020

The university will declare the AMU result in the first week of July 2020 in online mode. The university declares the AMU 2020 result in the form of a merit list. The result of AMU 2020 is released separately for boys and girls in three different lists - Select List, Chance Memo List and Special Category List. The select list is a list of the candidates who are provisionally selected. The Chance Memo List includes the candidates who are provisionally offered chance memos for admission to the course. The Special Category List contains the name of the candidates provisionally called for counselling under Special Category.

AMU Counselling 2020

The counselling of AMU 2020 will commence from the second week of July. The candidates will be able to find the schedule of their AMU counselling 2020 in the admission list that will be released by the university. The list mentions the date, time and venue of the counselling of AMU 2020. It must be noted that the candidates are supposed to carry all the required official documents that are needed at the time of the counselling process. If any candidate fails to present any one of the documents, they will be deemed as ineligible and will be disqualified from the admission.

Admission form for aligarh university will be conducted around 16-17 March 2020.

There are 40 seats and the admission is taken through departmental test.candidate must be passed bsc/bcom/ba with 50% aggregate.

how many marks obtained in amu entrance test for select in general categories

AMU entrance test's  cutoff depends on various parameters :-

  • Total no of appearing candidates
  • difficulty level of examination

Last year cutoff for getting shortlisted in BA programme was around 40 marks .So, try to score more than 40 marks to be in  safe side.
