what are the advantage of getting good marks in class 12 board examination (as lakhs of students get)...well do they end up in a good college in India based on their board marks only or they need to apply for other exams too?!

Mayank Chowdhary 1st Jun, 2020

It all depends on what career you're opting for. If you want to pursue some medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, BVSC then you need the qualifying marks in 12th board exams which is around 60% marks only. And the exam that will decide your admission will be only NEET entrance exam. If you want to choose Engineering, then CET, JEE exams decide your future. And similarly, if you want to opt for BSC courses, then surely 12th boards marks will help you.

Kindly feel free to ask in the comments section about what actually you are aiming for and thus I can guide you in a much better way.

Thank you. Best wishes.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 31st May, 2020

It depends from course to course. If you want to take admission in Science stream then you will have to get at least 80 to 85% minimum.

If you want Arts stream then you will have to get 80+

It also depends upon the college Campus, North Campus cutoffs are generally higher than the South Campus.

There are various Entrance exam course where the mini. eligibility criteria is 40% in boards.

All the best!!

I have given a fortnight test of aakash institute and I got 169 out of 240 in my starting of class 12 as I am in class 12 my rank was 1300 out of 5000 can I get 612 marks in neet 2021

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Apr, 2020
Hi Aryan

169 marks out of 240 marks in your test is not that bad,now that you will be appearing for your neet examination in 2021 so you have more than one year for your examination and how much marks you will get depends upon the amount of effort in hard work you put in for your neet preparation in that one year.
So you can definitely get 600 + marks or more if you remain honest towards your preparation .

Follow the below tips to prepare for neet:-

  • Give priority to ncert:-To prepare for neet exam first of all go through ncert to clear your basic concepts and take the help of reference book to understand the topics you find difficult to understand.

  • Practice questions after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs and keep revising your concepts at regular intervals, like once in a week or 15 days .

  • Make routine or timetable and religiously follow it .

  • You should practise numericals and mcqs , go through past 39 year chapterwise papers of neet aipmt book for each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology by arihant and once you are done with the complete neet syllabus go through mock test papers

Thankyou
