About OUAT 2024
OUAT 2024 - The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology has closed the application process for OUAT UG 2024 on April 15. Candidates can pay the OUAT fee till April 16 at ouat.nic.in. Before starting the OUAT 2024 application process, aspirants have to check the eligibility criteria. The OUAT 2024 application process includes two stages, Form A and Form B. Candidates have to fill the OUAT 2024 application form A, which requires basic details. The OUAT application form B consists of course preferences and document uploading.
The university conducts the OUAT 2024 entrance exam for UG programmes on June 4 and 6. Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology will release the admit card for OUAT exam on May 22, 2024. The university will release a separate OUAT application form for postgraduate programmes on its official website. Based on the result the university will release OUAT merit list on its official website. The shortlisted candidates have to attend the OUAT counselling process to submit all the documents for verification.
What is the OUAT Entrance Exam?
Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) will conduct the OUAT entrance exam for admission to agriculture courses. The OUAT entrance test is conducted every year by the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology to admit candidates to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees. The university offers admission to various kinds of undergraduate and graduate programmes in fields like agriculture, veterinary science, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, horticulture, home science, fishery science, and forestry under the semester system, according to information provided by the university's official website. OUAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the OUAT exam eligibility 2024 can appear for the OUAT entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The OUAT UG and PG exam eligibility criteria are given below.
For UG programmes:
B.Sc. (Hons.)/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture:
- As of December 31, 22, applicants must be older than 17 years old.
- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 intermediate exam or a test equivalent from a board that is recognised.
- To be eligible for admission, applicants must have received at least 50% (or 40% in the reserved category).
- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology are required disciplines for applicants.
B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering):
- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 intermediate exam or a recognised board's equivalent.
- For admission, applicants must have PCM as one of their required subjects.
- To be eligible for the exam, applying candidates must receive at least 50% of the possible points (or 40% for the reserved category).
For PG programmes:
M.Sc. (Agriculture):
- The applicant must be in possession of a bachelor's degree from a school that the state or federal government has recognised.
- Candidates must receive at least 60% of the possible points for the general category (and 50% for the restricted category).
M.Tech (Agriculture Engineering):
- The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Candidates must have earned at least 60% (or 50% for candidates in the reserved category).
Mode of Application : Online
The OUAT 2024 application process started on March 1 for undergraduate programmes on its official website. Candidates have to submit an OUAT online application form for UG programmes before the deadline, April 15. Candidates have to log in providing e-mail, mobile number and OTP to submit the OUAT 2024 application form. The candidate has to log in to edit the application form and download the acknowledgement of the application form. However, the OUAT admit card, entrance mark, weightage and rank card and intimation letter will be available through a link using the application number and date of birth. The procedure for submission of the online OUAT application form for admission into various UG and PG courses is given below.
Step 1: Visit the OUAT website “ouat.nic.in.”
Step 2: Read the prospectus for the UG and PG courses carefully.
Step 3: Candidates can access the application form by visiting the website www.ouat.nic.in.
Step 4: Then, candidates have to go to the admission section and click on student login for UG and PG admission- 2024 or directly go to ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in.
Step 5: Once click on the link the student login window will appear and the candidate will fill up the following information to log in.
i) E-mail ID
ii) Mobile Number
iii) OTP sent to the mobile number and email
iv) Captcha code
Step 6: The candidate will land up on the dashboard page, showing available services to apply for, under apply section.
Step 7: By clicking on the apply button the application form will appear.
Step 8: The candidate has to fill up the application form and candidates are advised to be careful while filling in the online application form.
Step 9: The candidate is required to enter correct personal information, upload his/her recent passport-size colour photograph (Height:200px,width:150px, file size: 200kb maximum), full signature (Height: 100px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum) in jpg/jpeg format and other information
Step 10: Before submission of application form, the candidate can have a preview of the application and make corrections if required.
Step 11: After submission of the application, the candidate will move on to another window for payment of the application fee.
Step 12: The candidate has to pay Rs. 1500/- only for application fees to the university besides bank charges as specified by the Bank depending upon the mode of payment selected through online payment through Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card of any Bank/UPI.
Step 13: After successful payment of the application fee, a message will be sent to the mobile number and email.
Step 14: Later, the candidate should take a printout of the computer-generated filled application form with payment details for future reference. Application form acknowledgement can be downloaded from the Activity Section on the Dashboard page using the application number.
OUAT 2024 Exam Pattern
Candidates who want to appear for OUAT entrance exam for admission to UG and PG courses are advised to check the OUAT 2024 exam pattern. The OUAT entrance exam pattern is available on the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) prospectus for the postgraduate course programme. The OUAT entrance exam for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate programme will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. OUAT exam pattern includes 200 multiple-choice questions and each question consists of 1 mark. Candidates will not be given a negative mark for a wrong answer. The multiple-choice questions (MCQ) covers the subjects taught in the bachelor’s degree and what subjects and topics are covered in the master's degree.

OUAT 2024 Admit Card
The Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology will issue the OUAT 2024 UG admit card on May 22, 2024, on its official website. Candidates can download the OUAT 2024 admit card by using their login credentials. To appear in the OUAT entrance exam, the candidate should have the admit card (hard copy only) and original ID proof.The candidate should bring the OUAT admit card with original identity proof to the examination centre for verification.

OUAT 2024 Result
The OUAT 2024 result for admission to UG courses will be declared on July 10 in percentile in online mode. The OUAT 2024 result will be declared by the Odisha University on July 20. Candidates can check their results at the official website ouat.nic.in by entering their login credentials. After the declaration of OUAT results, OUAT counselling starts for admissions. Candidates can check the OUAT entrance exam result 2024 by entering their application number and date of birth.

OUAT 2024 Counselling
The selection for OUAT UG and PG admission into different programmes is based on the merit of the candidates. The university will release the OUAT UG and PG merit list of the candidates on different dates. The OUAT 2024 merit list will be drawn up on the basis of total weightage derived from the entrance marks plus the weightage on extracurricular activities (wherever applicable).
The selection of candidates for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be done as per the OUAT merit list. Following that the shortlisted candidates will be eligible for participating in the OUAT counselling/admission round. The candidates coming for OUAT counselling and OUAT admission should bring all the original certificates and mark sheets/transcripts for verification with them.
