HSEE Application Form 2020 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is to release the HSEE 2020 application form in the second week of December 2020, in online mode. Candidates, aspiring for admissions to Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) programmes must fill the HSEE application form 2020 till the last week of January 2020. The application form of HSEE 2020 will be provided by IIT Madras at the official website hsee.iitm.ac.in. HSEE 2020 registration cum application fee can be paid in two modes – online and offline. For offline payment, candidates will get one extra day than the online payment. Before initiating the HSEE application process, candidates are advised to keep all the required documents with them and should be well aware about its eligibility criteria. HSEE will be conducted in the third week of April. Further, the step by step process of HSEE application form 2020 has been explained below for your easy understanding.

There may be some terms which may not be easy to understand for aspiring candidates of HSEE. Thus, to help them fill the HSEE application form 2020, we bring a complete yet easy stage-wise process of HSEE 2020 application filling, with explanation of all the steps involved. Know how to fill HSEE application form 2020.
Step 1 – Registration: As you begin the process of HSEE 2020 registration, the first stage to complete is online registration. Candidates have to visit the official website hsee.iitm.ac.in and click on “Online registration for HSEE 2020” button.
Step 2 - An instructions page will open. Reading all the instructions carefully must be mandatory for candidates as lot of things become very clear from these instructions only.

Step 3 – Click on “Apply online” button to fill the application. You have to click on “login” button here for new registration.

Step 4 – Fill up the following details
Name of candidate (As per 10th certificate)
Select date of birth
Enter email ID
Confirm email address
Enter mobile number
Fill HSEE Application Form 2020 (Check Image below)
After entering/selecting these details and clicking on “Register” button, a message on top of the login page will appear saying “You have been registered successfully. Your registration details are given below.” Note and keep all the entered details with you for future reference.
Stage 5 – Now click on “Go to log in page” (Check Image below)
Step 6 – Fill the application form by providing all the personal and academic details. Check what you have to enter here at this stage below.
Personal Details – Name of the parent/guardian (as per 10th certificate) and select nationality
Academic Details – Year of passing 10th or equivalent and year of passing or appearing 12th or qualifying exam
Personal Details – Gender, category, PWD status, mailing address, area/street name, city/distt name, state, pin code

Step 7 – Upload Documents: Click on choose file and upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, category certificate, PWD certificate, 10th and 12th marksheets from the place you have saved them.

Step 8 – This is the last stage wherein you have to pay the HSEE 2020 application fee via online or offline mode.

Candidates making fee payment through online mode can make use of net banking/credit or debit card. Once the fee payment is done, candidates must take printout of the acknowledgment page. If no acknowledgment page is generated, then this means that the transaction has been cancelled. The amount deducted will be refunded to the candidates in a few days. In such a case, candidates have to make another/fresh transaction and ensure that the acknowledgment page is generated.
Candidates making fee payment via offline mode have to generate e-challan from the application form of HSEE 2020. The challan will carry all required details along with fee amount to be paid. After taking a print out of the challan, candidates have to take it to the nearest branch of Indian Bank for making fee payment. Acknowledgment page through this mode can be generated from the official website only after 48 hours of the payment. To generate the HSEE application fee payment acknowledgment, candidates have to use registered email ID and password. If the system or website fails to generate the acknowledgment page, then the candidates should contact the HSEE Office and get the transaction details updated.
What to check on HSEE 2020 Application Fee Challan:

Note: It must be ensured that the seal of the bank branch and the signature of the bank official are available on the e-challan.
Points to note about Challan
It can only be generated between 8 am to 8 pm.
The challan remains valid for 10 days (or) fourth week if January (whichever is earlier) only.
Sometime MUP Ref Number does not appear on the challan. In such a case, generate it after some time (between 8 am and 8 pm).
Post the fee payment and generating acknowledgment page, candidates must take print out of the filled in application form of HSEE 2020. Details on the hard copy of HSEE application form can be referred for future references.
IIT Madras will also provide a facility for checking application status from the second week of February 2020. Registered candidates can track the status of their application form of HSEE online. By using this facility of HSEE application status, candidates will get to know whether their application has been accepted or rejected. To check the application status, they have to log in to their HSEE 2020 account by entering their email ID and password.

IIT Madras is to conduct HSEE 2020 exam across various exam centres in 16 cities across India. While filling the HSEE 2020 application form, candidates have to choose 2 exam centre cities from the list available. These HSEE exam centres 2020 must be chosen depending on their distance from their residence. Candidates must select the exam centres of HSEE which are closest to their residence, so that they can reach the exam venue easily on the exam day. The name and details of the exact HSEE 2020 exam centre (allotted to the candidates) will be available on the admit card of HSEE.
The exam conducting body (IIT Madras) will release the HSEE 2020 admit card in the third week of March 2020, in online mode. Candidates can continue to download the admit card till the exam date. It is to be noted that the admit card of HSEE can be downloaded only by the successfully registered candidates. The hall ticket will have details like name and admit card number of the candidate, photograph and signature, exam centre venue details, category, parents name and exam day instructions. While accessing the HSEE 2020 admit card, candidates must cross-check all the details on it and see if they are correct. After downloading, two or more copies of printout of HSEE admit card must be taken to avoid loss of a single copy. This admit card has to be taken to the exam centre on the exam day.
IIT Madras will conduct HSEE 2020 exam for admission to Humanities and Social Sciences Programmes.
There are a total of 46 sanctioned seats out of which two streams: (1) Development Studies and (2) English Studies have equal (23) seats each.
You can start applying for HSEE 2020 application from the second week of December 2019. The application form of HSEE will be available in online mode.
There may be an application correction for HSEE, however, there is no official date or information about this so far. We will update any available information regarding this as and when the officials release it.
