The admission in St. Stephen’s College 2019 is based on three levels (as given below):
Class 12th marks - 85% weightage
Written exam - 5% weightage
Interview - 10% weightage
Candidates belonging to PwD category will be exempted from sitting for Written Test. The candidates will be called for written test and the interview after securing the place from cut off lists.
The St. Stephen's College admission 2019-20 for the candidates applying under the Sports category will get 5% of the sanctioned seats. The selection process will comprise;
Selection trials conducted by the PE department and evaluation of the certificates
Being a Christian minority college, the officials will provide 50% of the seats to the Christian minority. 50% of the total number of seats, on an overall basis, shall be set apart exclusively for Christian Candidates and they shall be filed as below:
Christian minority - 17% of seats (or 8.5% of total seats)
50% (or 25% of the total seats) for the Chruch of North India. Out of this 50% (12.5% of the total) shall be earmarked for applicants from the Diocese of Delhi, CNI which manages the college.
The remaining 33% shall be filled with candidates from all other Christian denomination, which will be referred to as ‘Christian others’.
The rest of the 50% seats left for the General/OBC/SC/ST category will be divided as follows:
17% for SC/ST
Remaining 83% for General Merit category
For the candidates applying under Sports Category, they shall be admitted on the basis of the following merit distribution:
Merit in Sports (College trials 20% and Certificates (30%)
Class XII marks (BFS/PCM) 40%
The eligibility criteria of St. Stephen’s College 2019 consists of a minimum mark and/or degrees that the candidates are expected to acquire/score.
