i got n grade in vit first sem.can i opt those subjects in summer sem and complete

sarthak goel 14th Dec, 2019

Hello

Yes of course, summer semester are ment for that purpose only. But you will have to pay extra for you accomodation and mess charges(around 10000), apart from that, it is 6000 per subject(approx).

I suggest you to not wait only for 1 subject in summer semester, instead you can take around 3 subjects, so wait untill 2nd year, maybe you get another N grade.

Hope this Helps

i got n grade i vit first sem cgpa.what does it mean?

sarthak goel 14th Dec, 2019

Hello,

That means that you did not qualify that particular subject. Either you failed in any of the components of the subject such as Lab component (because your overall marks were less than 50 out of 100) or Theory component(because marks scored in Final Assessment Test were less than 40).

In such cases you will have to go for re-registering the course, by paying certain fees(around 6000 per subject) and then you will have to complete the failed component again.

Hope this helps

which is better for CSE VIT or MIT

sarthak goel 14th Dec, 2019

Hello Sahil,

For the same branch i.e. CSE, I think both of them are comparable.

For MIT the average package resides between 4-5LPA and it's even higher for CSE branch. For VIT, the average package is around 5 lakh for CSE, IT, ECE branches.

In terms of placements, more number of students are placed in VIT than in MIT, although most of them are placed in companies in such as TCS, WIPRO, Accenture, Cognizant, Delloite, etc.. Some of the fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, etc, recruite from here.

MIT has more student involved societies that encourage student growth, and boost his skills.

Hope this helps

i have 3 backlogs in first sem of vit.which is free of cost opting the. in summer sem or opting them in next sem?

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 14th Dec, 2019

If you have to clear a backlog in your subject, you need to pay Rs 6000/- per subject whether you take it in the summer sem or opt it in the next semester. Although if you wait in the summer sem, you will also have to pay extra for the hostel and mess.

But it may be an extra burden to clear 3 more subjects along with your next semester's subjects. If you wish, you can clear the subjects one by one if you can handle extra subjects but make sure that they are not prerequisites for some other future course. Although I would suggest that since you have three backlogs, you can wait in the summer semester itself because clearing them in the future semesters (with 27 maximum credits), you may have lot of credits to be completed in the last 2 semesters which may become problematic during the placement season.
