UPES announces new placement policy to encourage entrepreneurship
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun has announced two new placement policies- on campus and off campus to encourage students towards entrepreneurship.
According to UPES Dehradun, under this policy the institute will provide placement support to those who even after two years of graduating choose to find a job due to some reason. UPES is also opening up experience zones by end of March 2017 at three locations in Delhi/NCR to help students take informed decisions when it comes to choosing right educational courses. UPES counsellors will guide them and clear their doubts in these centres. The University is slated to open UPES experience zones in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities to assist students who have limited access to information and need right counselling.
Speaking on the new placement initiative, Utpal Ghosh, President and CEO, UPES, said, “With the new placement policy in place, we urge our students to follow their entrepreneurial dreams by giving them a choice to return to their alma mater for placement support. UPES already has an incubation centre at campus that provides end-to-end assistance and guidance to students who want to do something of their own. We encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in our students as it is not just about running a successful business; entrepreneurial skills are required if you are in a job or even in day-to-day life.”
Mega initiatives like Digital India, Skill India, Smart Cities and Make in India has opened up avenues in fields like Geo Informatics, renewable energy, broadband communication, urban & infrastructure development, machine design, fire & safety, disaster management, IPR and Cyber laws, both in public and private sector.
UPES offers specialised programs for students which are designed keeping in mind the sector-specific present and future requirements of the industry.

i want to give pcs exam i had PCB woth psychology in 12th i m confused between Bsc and ba hons psychology from GEU or UPES dehradun i dont want to do maths in my graduation so plz guide me that from where n what graduation should i do
see there is not many difference between bsc in psychology or b.a in psychology syllabus, however bsc course is more job oriented than b.a course, and the syllabus includes more practical training and exposures related with to deal with the human being with certain problems and give solutions. also knowledge of maths helps to understand the behavioral science more accurately. however b.a in psychology has more of theoretical approach, since you are not interested for maths you should go for b.a in psychology.
i want to give pcs exam i had PCB with psychology in 12t now i m confused that what graduation should i do ..i m confused between bsc and ba hons psychology from Geu or UPES dehradun plz help me out i dont want to do maths i just really cannot solve it so plz guide me what graduation should i do
I'll recommend you to do either bsc in non maths subjects though in physics serious maths is there in graduation so don't try it. As you had psychology in 12th then you can go for ba psychology it's a good choice from the colleges you have mentioned as you have prior knowledge about the subject you'll feel it easy and can prepare for state PCS and the course will help you in your interview and in your entire life while dealing with people.
