JAM 2016 – IIT Madras has released the notification for JAM 2016 - the admission process for the M.Sc programmes at the IITs and IIsc Bangalore. The Application will be available online from September 2, 2015 till October 14, 2015. The JAM 2016 exam will be held on February 7, 2016 for all the seven papers.
Candidates may note that JAM 2016 exam will be conducted for 7 papers and will be completely online. A total of 1629 seats will be available for candidates through the JAM 2016 Admission process.
Candidates will be allowed to bring their own non-programmable calculators for the exam. Admissions will be based on the scores of the candidates in the JAM 2016 exam. Applications for the admissions will be available from April 15, 2016 onwards.

Candidates must ensure they meet the JAM Eligibility Criteria before applying to avoid being rejected for the admissions. Some common guidelines for the eligibility are:
Candidates must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks (for all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/ OBC (NCL) Category candidates
SC/ST/PwD candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks
The Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility should be submitted by September 30, 2016.

Supporting documents must be scanned along with the photograph and signature to be uploaded while filling the JAM 2016 Application Form.

Yes you can still apply for your M.Sc degree. Because still you have one semester remaining. JAM application, TIFR application portals may get closed, but you can apply for upcoming notifications regarding admission. Universities call for admission, colleges also nearly in the month of March. So be ready to apply for them.
