IIT Madras has announced the JAM 2016 Admission List for Round 3 on July 4, 2016. Candidates must check the details after logging in through JOAPS. The last date for accepting the offer is July 9, 2016. The JAM 2016 authorities have specified the instructions for the admissions after the announcement of the third list of the JAM 2016 Admissions.   • The admission offers for the JAM 2016 Round 3 have been announced on July 4, 2016.

  • Candidates intimated through Email or SMs must log in to JOAPS to check the offers announced in this round.

  • After logging in, candidates must download the Offer of Admission from the Admitting Institute

  • It may be noted that the last date for accepting the offer along with successful payment of Seat Booking Fee is July 9, 2016.

  • Candidates, who have received the offer under Upgrade (Upgraded-Offer), can download the Offer Documents as they are considered as "Accept" automatically

  • Such candidates must report to the Admitting Institute as per the Offer Letter duly filled and other Documents as mentioned in the offer letter. There is no need to pay the Seat Booking Fee once again.

  • Candidates receiving the offer for the first time (Fresh Offer), must select "ACCEPT” to be directed towards the payment of Seat Booking Fee. Once Seat Booking Fee is paid, they can download the Offer Document; report to the Admitting Institute with the filled in offer letter and other Documents as per the Offer Letter for JAM 2016.

Some important Points:

  • Candidates who DO NOT successfully pay the Seat Booking Fee on or before the last date mentioned in the Offer-Letter will forfeit the offer and the offer extended will stand cancelled

  • Candidates who do not join the programme as per the Offer Letter of the Admitting Institute will also stand to forfeit the seat and the offer of Admission will be automatically cancelled.

  • The Seat Booking Fee will not be refunded if candidates do not join the Admitting Institute.

Hi, Im pursuing my 2nd bsc in biotechnology, can I write jam exams only for biotechnology or should I learn all the syllabus given as "Biology" to write exams on biotechnology?

Hi aspirant,

Preparing the syllabus given in the IIT JAM exam for biotechnology is enough to crack the JAM exam. If you study the whole biology as a syllabus, you can attend most of the exams conducted in life sciences field for the higher studies and jobs. In JAM exam they will check your critical thinking and your subject knowledge depth. So prepare well.

I have only two months for the preparation of IIT JAM examination how would I prepare

Hi,
Two months are a enough for someone to get a good rank in JAM .
Download the syllabus of IITJAM from their official website.
And stick to it.You won't be asked any questions out of the syllabus.
Now make a Doomsday notes please.
You would find it quite handy.Otherwise you have to open those large books again and again.
Compactness of the notes always helps.
Download all of the previous years questions from the website and try to solve them all,even two times if you have enough time.
Also give mocy tests.
Learn from your mistakes.
Learn to use the jam calculator which is not same as the normal calculator we use .
Get enough sleep.
You would be fine

can a B tech student can apply for IIT jam physics exam and what are the requirements that are needed ?

Hope you are doing well.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria mandates candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree . Candidates belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have at least 55% aggregate in Bachelor’s. The marks secured include all the subjects studied at the graduation level, without rounding off the marks.

So you obviously appears for the IIT JAM.

I am currently studying bsc third year. I want to do MSc. but I didnt apply for any entrance exam like JAM till now. where can I study? is that any college opened their admission process?

Yes you can still apply for your M.Sc degree. Because still you have one semester remaining. JAM application, TIFR application portals may get closed, but you can apply for upcoming notifications regarding admission. Universities call for admission, colleges also nearly in the month of March. So be ready to apply for them.
