The DU 2014 application form will be available form June 2 for admissions in the 4-Year Undergraduate Programme.
Last year, with the introduction of four-year undergraduate programme in the University the option of choosing colleges has been removed, thereby making the applicants eligible for admission in all the colleges in DU where they reach the cutoffs. One of the principals told that the DU colleges will bring out the merit lists on the basis of Class 12th scores. As per the proposal, candidates will first apply through a centralized registration form, either online and offline. Till date they are allowed to fill in as many forms as they wish for various subjects they opt but the proposed policy would allow a candidate to apply to a maximum 10 colleges and six courses.
Moreover one of the members of the committee said that once registration is done, the college will be bringing out merit lists in descending order. So the applicants will be offered admission to the seats as there are in the very programme in the college while the rest will be placed in the waiting list. He added that this will be done to streamline the admission process for this year.
