University of Delhi begins the admission process for DU 2017 from May 22, as it opens the online DU application form window. The university offers as many as 54,000 seats for undergraduate programmes in around 16 faculties and 86 departments spread across North and South campuses. The admissions for DU 2017 UG programmes will be offered through merit and entrance test modes.
The Delhi University is to announce DU application form 2017 for merit-based admissions from May 22, 2017. The application form will be available in online mode only. The candidates will need to register for DU 2017 admissions and application form. There will be a single admission-cum-application form for every offered programmes across all the affiliated colleges of the university, except St. Stephen’s College and Jesus & Mary College. The candidates will need to pay an application fee of DU admissions 2017 in online mode using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking payment options.
Delhi University offers a number of regular undergraduate programmes which can be pursued by the candidates passing 12th board examination of 10+2 education pattern. The candidates can choose among the 75 undergraduate programmes on offer by the central university, under the three-year programme structure. The programmes include BA (Hons.) courses in subjects like English, Arabic, Hindi, History, Geography, Philosphy, Political Science, Psychology, etc., B.Com and B.Com (Hons.), besides B.Sc (Hons.) courses in subjects like Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, etc.
Delhi University offers admissions to undergraduate programmes in as many as 83 colleges spread across the capital. Some of the coveted colleges affiliated to University of Delhi are Daulat Ram College, Gargi College, Hans Raj College, Indraprastha College for Women, Jesus & Mary College, Kirori Mal College, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Miranda House, Ramjas College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Sri Aurbindo College, Sri Venkateshwara College and St. Stephen’s College.
DU 2017 admissions to majority of undergraduate programmes are based on merit list. The DU 2017 merit list for the UG admissions are calculated on ‘Best of Four’ subjects marks. Candidates having the maximum marks scored in any of the four subjects studied at 12th level will be accounted for ‘Best of Four’ calculation. This ‘Best of Four’ subjects’ marks will be the base for cut off marks in DU 2017 admissions. The university is to announce as many as fifteen cut offs for DU admissions 2017.
