DU Admissions 2017: Delhi University announces admission schedule; 1st cut off on June 20

DU Admissions 2017 begin as the University of Delhi has announced admission schedule. According to the announced dates of Delhi University 2017 admissions, the DU application form will be announced on May 22, 2017 at 6:00 pm and ends on June 12, 2017 (5:00 pm). The DU colleges in accordance with the central university will announce DU first cut off 2017 on June 20 for admissions to various undergraduate programmes on offer. The Delhi University has announced to release six cut off lists for DU 2017 admissions for the UG programmes. According to the DU 2017 cut off schedule, the last cut off, i.e, DU 2017 sixth cut off will be released on July 18, 2017. Candidates who are interested in applying for DU 2017 admissions will have to register online for the application process of Delhi University and fill the DU application form. Note– The DU 2017 applicants here need to note that the admission timing for UG programmes in the morning colleges will be carried between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm and those in the evening colleges will be carried between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

 

DU Application Form– The candidates need to apply for Delhi University 2017-18 undergraduate programmes in online mode between May 22 and June 12, 2017. The candidates will have to register online through the official link and provide important registration details including name, date of birth, parents’ name, email id and mobile number. Once the candidate has received DU registration number, he /she can login and apply for the UG programmes in as many colleges as he/ she wish. The application form of DU 2017 shall be considered submitted only after the candidate has paid the online application fee and submitted it. No hard copy of DU application form needs to be sent to the admission office of Delhi University.

 

Note– Candidates need to read and understand DU eligibility criteria 2017 before filling the application form of DU 2017.

 

The Delhi University has also organised open days for assisting and guiding the DU admission aspirants while answering their queries on the admission process of the undergraduate university admissions. The DU 2017 Open Days are a 10-day counselling session which is to end on May 31, 2017.

 

DU Cut off– Candidates who meet the cut off of DU 2017 for a programme offered by a Delhi University college will only be eligible for admissions. The DU 2017 cut off for UG admissions will be determined by the colleges and shall be calculated using ‘Best of Four Subjects’ formula. Once the candidate meets the DU cut off score as announced by different colleges for any programme, the candidates needs to go for document verification process and submit the admission fee within the scheduled date, else the candidature will get cancelled and the seats remain vacant for the particular programme in the college.

 

Further, after announcements of DU cut off for six rounds of UG admissions, yet the seats remain vacant in any college for a programme, the colleges will declare their own cut off lists after which the shortlisted candidates will have to deposit their fees till 12:00 noon of the next day for the given admission list deadline.

 

The University of Delhi is offering admissions to 60 UG programmes on offer at 63 colleges affiliated to the university where around 56,000 seats are on grab by the DU applicants.

Hello dear aspirant.

You have not clearly mentioned whether for UG or PG and which course you are interested in.

As of now admission in DU is on merit list basis first you should know past years cutoff and then prepare hard and score good marks in board exams so that you can easily get a seat in DU .

If I want to get admission in BSC honours in mathematics in Delhi University on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th , then what all subjects can I register for the calculation of percentage to be written in Merit list ? Can I register with Mathematics, computer and chemistry ?

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.

Can I get admission in Delhi University for doing B.Tech on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th or it is compulsory to give entrance examination ?

Hello Anurag, No, you can't get admission in BTech course only on the basis of 12th class marks. Giving the entrance test is compulsory. Giving entrance test is compulsory for the following courses:
