Delhi University 2016 Applications is to begin from June 1, 2016 in online mode only. The application form for DU 2016 Admissions will be valid for each college including St. Stephen’s and Jesus & Mary. In the official notification released on May 27, 2016 (midnight) by University of Delhi, the central university has informed that this year the admissions will be conducted completely in online mode for different categories. Dr. T.K. Das, DU Registrar said, “The University will be launching registration of candidates for Undergraduate (UG) courses based on merit from June 1, 2016. The candidates are informed that the registration process for UG courses will be completely online including Sports, Extra-Curricular Activities, Kashmiri Migrants, and CW (Defence) category.”
He also informed that the candidates will be required to upload their self-attested documents in online mode only for DU 2016 Admissions. “This year the online registration process will help candidates in smooth admissions,” said the DU Registrar.
Important Documents for DU 2016 Application process – DU 2016 admission aspirants will need to upload the following documents at the time of online applications of Delhi University.
Class 10th Board Examination Certificate
Class 10th Marks-sheet (in case it is not combined with certificate)
Class 12th Marks-sheet
Class 12th Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
Character Certificate (Recent)
Transfer Certificate from school / college as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University are required from those students have passed senior secondary certificate exam from outside Delhi
Scanned copy of signature
SC / ST / PwD Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority
OBC (Non-creamy layer) Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority
For Kashmiri Migrant Quota – Kashmiri Migrant certificate issued by Divisional Commissioner / Relief Commissioner
For CW Quota – Educational concession certificate issued by competent authority
Sports / ECA distinction certificates of last three years in descending order (April 1, 2013 – march 31, 2016)
Eligibility Criteria for DU 2016 Admissions – Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria before filling DU Application Form for Delhi University Admissions 2016 which varies for each programme in each college.
Delhi University 2016 Application / Admission Form for UG programmes – Candidates need to apply for undergraduate programmes in the central university through the common pre-admission online application form which will be available from June 1, 2016. DU 2016 applicants need to pay an application form fee of Rs. 100 (General and OBC categories) and Rs. 50 (SC/ ST /PwD categories).
DU 2016 Cutoff – Candidates can check the cutoff required for DU 2016 Admissions for each of the college and programmes. Last year the Delhi University Cutoff ranged between 92 and 99 for the first four lists for popular programmes in most sought after colleges for the General category.
University of Delhi offers admissions to as many as 54000 undergraduate seats in various undergraduate programmes through merit scores of 12th Board exams.
