Delhi University colleges to release further cutoffs; 8th cutoff on July 30

Delhi University has announced to release further cutoffs for 2015 UG Admissions. The eighth cutoff will be announced on July 30, followed by ninth, tenth and eleventh cutoffs respectively. The University officials took this decision as a few seats were left in some of the colleges under different categories.

Rohan Rai, the Academic Deputy Registrar of DU said, “In continuation with the previous cutoffs and as per the data provided by the colleges, few seats for different categories are still vacant in some of these colleges. Few seats for different categories are still vacant in some of the colleges. Therefore, it has been decided that the college shall fill these vacant seats in accordance with the schedule.”

The Deputy Registrar also informed that there is no change in the procedure of admissions and only those candidates are eligible who have filled the OMR form for the desired course. Read here the complete admission procedure of DU.

The University Officials have directed the DU colleges to intimate regarding cutoffs one day prior to the releasing date of Cutoffs, i.e.; July 29 for Eighth Cutoff, August 1 for Ninth Cutoff and August 5 and August 8 for Tenth and Eleventh Cutoffs.

“The colleges have been directed to send the cutoff data one day prior to the scheduled dates of their announcement. The data of vacant seats should be sent course and category wise along with the cutoffs,” added the Academic Deputy Registrar.


Earlier, the University colleges had announced seven cutoff lists for which admissions to 2015 UG programmes were offered till July 27, 2015.


The University has 16 faculties and 86 departments spread over North and South campuses in the National Capital. The Central University has 83 affiliated colleges with around 150000 students in regular programmes and about 250000 students enrolled in its other programmes.

Looking at the past,DU entrance exam that is DUJAT will most likely to be held on 1st week of June and its registration form(online) will most probably available from 1st week of March and its deadline will be end of the March.

Delhi institute of technology is a very prestigious institute in Delhi this college has a good placement record so you have to clear JEE mains to get a seat in it you can get seat in this college without JEE mains through lateral entry if you have done diploma then you can give the letter entry exam conducted by the the college itself and get into the merit list.
