There is a 3% reservation for the candidates who are physically challenged. Prof. Khurana added a note to this quota that the reservation will be given only to the candidates who possess the disability certificates issued in their name by a government hospital. Moreover the certificate should mention 40% disability of the candidate. In addition to these, Prof. Khurana assured the physically challenged that they will be allotted seats in the colleges offering courses of their choice.
The University of Delhi offers a 5% reservation for the candidates who are widow/children of the war martyrs. The reservation quota is applicable for the following category –
Prof. Khurana added a point to the Defense Quota that such candidates will be required to get their names registered at Room No. 218, II Floor, New Administrative Block, North Campus, University of Delhi. However those applying for Science courses need to get their names registered at the Faculty of Science, North Campus, University of Delhi.
In addition to the above reservation criteria, Delhi University also offers Sports Quota to the pertinent candidates. The quota also includes Extra Curricular Activities. The central university offers a 5% reservation to all those candidates who possess the certificates at different levels for their sports and ECA.
