Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer has become the first public university in the country to introduce a new innovative and employment oriented programme Post-Graduate (M.Sc) Degree in Digital Society. This is a programme which is being supported by the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore). Such type of programme is popular in Oxford University and Edinburgh Universities and other foreign universities. But in India, the Central University has taken lead to inaugurate such programme in sync with industrial demands and in the changing context of employment markets.
About the Course: The Course is specially designed to prepare the students to have a firm foundation on an analytical linkage between Social Sciences and advance technological frontiers of information technologies which are in high demands for industry, non-governmental organisation, corporate houses and consultancy firms. The course structure contains an intelligent blending of diverse fields of social sciences, like public policy, political science, sociology, computer sciences, data analytics, statistics, etc.

Students will learn PYTHON, R, SAS, Hadoop, and Data Visualisation skills (ICT-Lab Learning).
Who Can Apply: This PG Programme is open to candidates with a Graduate degree (Three Years) from recognized University possessing a minimum of 55% marks in any of the following areas: Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Commerce and Management, Computer Sciences, and Engineering.
Career: Career opportunities include working as professional researchers in the areas spanning the Internet, digital media, and E-governance; consultants in the areas related to digitization, ICT-implementation, and smart cities; policy experts, etc. Students passing out from the programme will be working in ICT industries, research organization, private companies, public sector, consultancy services industry, international organizations, and in non-governmental organizations. There will be placement drive in the Third Semester along with IIIT-Bangalore (as per the MoU).

About Test: The Entrance Test of CUCET will be MCQ type with 100 questions. Only the CUCET Score will be considered for admission. The CUCET Question Paper will comprise of 100 MCQs from the following discipline. i.e. English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, General Knowledge.
