TS EDCET Entrance Exam - Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda has started the TS EDCET 2023 counselling registration on September 20 in online mode. Candidates are required to submit the TS EDCET counselling registration form 2023 by the deadline, September 30. The MGU released the TS EDCET 2023 score card on June 12. TS EDCET exam 2023 was held on May 18. TS EDCET answer key 2023 was released on May 23. TS EDCET 2023 Highlights

What is TS EDCET?

Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EDCET) is an entrance examination conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University. TS EDCET is a state-level examination conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for admission to 2-year B.Ed courses at various institutes and universities in Telangana. The examination paper will be in English-Telugu and English-Urdu languages only.

Students who want to apply for admission to the B.Ed courses at various universities in Telangana need to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates are allowed to apply at the official website of TS ECET by filling the application form. The TS EDCET 2023 eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

• Candidates should have Indian Nationality.

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA or Bachelor’s in Engineering and Technology or Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks.

• The minimum passing percentage for SC/ST/BC students is 40% marks.

• Candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

Mode of Application : Online

The examination authorities released the TS EDCET application form 2023 in online mode. Only eligible students can fill the application form. The candidates have to register for the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test by paying the registration fees, application fee and late fee (as applicable). While filling the form, students have to submit the necessary documents. After filling the application form, candidates have to verify all their details carefully and submit the TS EDCET 2023 application form. Online application form will be generated that contains the registration details. Students should follow the below steps to know how to fill the TS EDCET application form.

How to apply for TS EDCET 2023 application form?

Step 1 - Registration

• First, visit the official website i.e. edcet.tsche.ac.in.

• Then, candidates have to register themselves by filling the necessary details. 

Step - 2 - Login

• Login using your credentials.

• Fill the application form with relevant information such as academic qualifications, personal details and others.

• Then, verify all the details carefully and press the “Submit” button.

Step 3 - Application fee payment 

• Now, candidates have to pay for an application fee. 

• Candidates have to pay the application fee in 2 modes:

  • TS Online/AP Online Centres in Telangana State or A.P.

  • Payment Gateway.

Step 4 - Registration number will be generated

• After that, an online application form will be generated with registration details.

• Students should take a printout of the application form and use the registration number for future reference.

TS EDCET 2023 Application Fees

Candidates must follow the exam preparation tips to prepare for the TS EDCET 2023. Some of the preparation tips are mentioned below. 

• Exam Pattern and Syllabus - To prepare for the TS EDCET 2023, students need to know about the syllabus and exam pattern. This helps the students to understand what needs to be covered and what not. 

• Mock Tests - The authorities conduct mock tests for aspiring candidates. Students need to visit the official website of TS EDCET 2023 and select the mock test. Further, login with your credentials. Candidates are advised to solve mock tests to know the types of questions. 

• Timetable - Students should make a timetable to prepare for the TS EDCET. This helps the candidates to prepare for the exam in a proper manner.  

• Revision - While preparing for the tests, students should make notes and revise them on a daily basis. 

Before appearing for TS EDCET 2023, students need to know about the exam pattern of TS EDCET. The examination authorities will release the TS EDCET 2023 exam pattern on the official website. The exam pattern will contain the type of question, exam duration, number of questions and many more. Students will have to appear for a total of 150 questions. The examination authority has released the TS EDCET 2023 admit card in online mode. The admit card will be released at the official website: edcet.tsche.ac.in and students can download it from May 13, 2023. For downloading the TS EDCET 2023 admit card, students have to use their login credentials. The admit card will have information related to the candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, test centre name category, and others. Hall ticket will be needed at the time of examination and later at the time of entry into the course.

The authorities announced the TS EDCET 2023 result on June 12 in online mode on the official website of TS EDCET. Candidates who appear for the TS EDCET 2023 examination can check their results by login into the login portal using their credentials. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks scored in the entrance examination. In case of tie, subject/content marks will be considered to decide the ranking.

Mode of Counselling: Online

The MGU started the TS EDCET 2023 counselling registration on September 20 in online mode. Candidates are required to fill out the TSEDCET counselling application form 2023 by the deadline, September 30. Students who qualify the TS EDCET examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. In the counselling process, seats will be allotted to the students based on their performance in entrance examinations and choices filled by them. Further, aspirants have to submit the documents for verification.
