NEST 2023: NISER Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with UM DAE CEBS will issue the NEST 2023 admit card on June 12. NISER Bhubaneswar has closed the NEST 2023 application correction window on May 29, 2023. Earlier, NISER has opened the NEST 2023 application correction window on May 26, 2023, in online mode. NISER Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with UM DAE CEBS has started NEST 2023 registration on February 27, 2023. National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a national-level compulsory entrance exam for aspirants seeking admission in the Integrated MSc program at NISER, Bhubaneswar, and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai. NEST 2023 exam will be conducted on June 24 by the NISER, Bhubaneswar and UMDAE-CEBS Mumbai jointly. National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NISER, Bhubaneswar and UMDAE-CEBS Mumbai jointly. The scorecard of NEST 2023 will be released on July 10. The conducting bodies will also release the NEST answer key 2023 in online mode. Candidates can download and view the NEST answer key on their registered email address.
NEST 2023 exam will be conducted in online mode in around 116 cities across the India. The NEST 2023 exam will have four sections, four sections of objective (MCQ) type questions. Each section is of 50 marks each and will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

What is NEST?
National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a national-level compulsory entrance exam for admission in the Integrated MSc program at NISER, Bhubaneswar, and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai. NEST is conducted jointly by the (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. The NEST Exam is conducted annually in online mode for Integrated MSc program:
The conducting bodies will release the NEST 2023 admit card on June 12. Registered candidates can download the NEST admit card 2023 by visiting the official website of NEST. NEST examination 2023 will be held for a duration of 3.5 hrs. The medium of NEST entrance test 2023 is English only.
The participating institutions of NEST 2023, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai- Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) Mumbai will conduct the counselling separately for admissions to their programmes.

Candidates who wish to appear in the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) must meet the NEST eligibility criteria 2023 set scheduled by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS. It must be noted that if a candidates candidacy will be cancelled by the authorities if he will fail to meet the NEST 2023 eligibility criteria. Candidates who qualify the NEST and match the NEST eligibility criteria 2023 are offered admission to five-year integrated MSc programs offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS.
The NEST 2023 eligibility criteria
Qualifying Exam: Aspirants must have qualified Class 12th exam form Science stream or been appearing in Class 12th exam, from a recognized board by the Indian government. Furthermore, candidates are required to have passed Class 12th in the years 2021/2022 or must be appearing for the exam in 2023.
Qualifying Exam Marks: Candidates who belong to the General category are required to have a minimum aggregate of 60% in the Class 12th examination, whereas candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/PwD only need to score 55% aggregate in Class 12th.
Lower Age Limit: The authorities have laid out the lower age limit NEST which candidates have to satisfy to attempt the entrance exam. The lower age limit set by the authorities varies for candidates as per the category they belong to. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC category must have been born on or after August 1, 2002, while candidates of SC/ST/PwD categories are given a relaxation of 5 years such that they must have been born on or after August 1, 1997.

NISER Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with UM DAE CEBS has released the NEST 2023 application form on February 27, 2023 on its official website. The mode of NEST 2023 application process of filling the application form to submitting it will be in online mode. The NEST application form 2023 has closed on May 24, 2023. While filling the NEST application form 2023, candidates had to go through various stages such as registration, submitting personal information, uploading necessary documents and paying the application fee. Before submitting the NEST 2023 application form, candidates must make sure that all the details mentioned in the application form are correct. Candidates could follow the procedure given below to know how to fill the NEST application form 2023.

Steps to fill the NEST Application Form 2023
Step 1: Go to the official website - nestexam.in.
Step 2: Click on the 'Apply Online' button, followed by 'New Registration'.
Step 3: Now register yourself by submitting the required information.
Step 4: After entering the details, click on 'Register'.
Step 5: The login credentials will be sent to the registered mobile number and email-Id of the candidate.
Step 6: Candidates can login using their login credentials and fill the NEST application form by filling information and uploading the necessary documents.
Step 7: Now, candidates can proceed on to pay the application fee through credit card/debit card/net banking and then submit the application fee.

The NEST 2023 is a computer-based, MCQ type examination. The conducting bodies will sent the NEST answer key 2023 along with the answer scripts to the candidates on their email address in June. An option is provided for the candidates by the authority to raise objections against the answer key in case of any discrepancies found. Students must verify by cross-checking their answers with the provided NEST exam answer key. The candidates were also allowed to challenge the NEST 2023 answer key till the submission deadline.
If the objections raised by candidates are found to be legit then the conducting bodies release the final answer key of NEST. The NEST answer key contains the answers to all the questions that were asked in the entrance exam. Candidates who had appeared in the entrance exam can check the NEST answer key 2023 to calculate their probable marks.
The result of NEST 2023 will be announced on July 10 in an online mode. Candidates can view the NEST result by visiting the official site using their login credentials. Candidates must use their valid user ID and password to check their NEST result 2023. They should also download the NEST score card 2023 after checking the entrance test result. The NEST 2023 result is formulated on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the entrance examination. The NEST result 2023 carries various important information such as name and photograph of the candidate, roll number, category, category rank, merit rank, percentile, acquired marks and percentile.
The cutoff of NEST will be released by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS in an online mode. The NEST cutoff 2023 has been formulated on the basis of section marks and overall marks secured by candidates in the exam. The NEST 2023 cutoff consists of the score which candidates have to secure in the entrance test to be eligible for admission to the university.
Candidates who scored equal or more marks than NEST cutoff 2023 will be invited to the counselling process to secure the seat in their desired programme. If a candidate fails to secure the minimum marks mentioned in the NEST 2022 cutoff then their candidacy for admission will be cancelled by the university.
- Section-wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS): SMAS is a section-wise minimum score required to be obtained by the aspirants in each section of NEST exam. SMAS is the 20% of the score which comes after taking the average of best 100 scores in that section. For instance, if the best 100 scores of General section is 20 marks out of 30, then 20% of 20 marks, i.e. 4 marks will become the SMAS for General section (for general category). The same method will be adopted for all other sections. SMAS for OBC candidates will be 90% of the SMAS obtained for general category, and for SC/ST candidates, it will be 50% of that obtained for general candidates. Candidates will be required to obtain SMAS in the general section and at least three of the subject-sections to become eligible for further admission process.
- Minimum Admissible Score (MAS): The MAS is the overall score candidate is required to obtain in order to become eligible for further admission process of NEST 2022. It can vary from year to year, for instance, MAS for NEST 2022was 90 (50% of the total 180 marks paper). The overall score of a candidate will include the scores obtained in the General and best-of-three subject sections. However, it will be important for a candidate to obtain SMAS in each of the sections whose scores are considered for MAS. Similar to SMAS, the MAS for OBC category candidates will be 90% of the MAS determined for general category and in case of SC/ST candidates, it will be 50% of the MAS determined for general category.

The counselling process of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2023 will be conducted for admission to Integrated MSc courses at NISER and UM-DAE-CBS separately through online mode. Eligible candidates who have qualified the exam have to participate in the NEST counselling session 2023 to get a seat in their desired programme. The NEST counselling 2023 will be done on the basis of the ranking and the performance of the candidates in the entrance test.
