IIT JAM 2024 - The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras will close the IIT JAM application correction window 2024 on November 30. Earlier, IIT Madras has opened the IIT JAM 2024 application correction window on November 24, 2023. Applicants can submit their OBC - NCL/EWS category certificates till December 20. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has activated the IIT JAM 2024 mock test links on its official website. Candidates can attempt the IIT JAM mock test online using the default login and password. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, will publish the IIT JAM admit card 2024 on January 8, 2024 in online mode. Candidates can download the IIT JAM 2024 admit card by visiting the JOAPS 2024 candidate portal and by entering their login details. The IIT Madras closed the IIT JAM registration 2024 on October 25. The registered candidates for IIT JAM 2024 could make the payment till October 27. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, started the IIT JAM 2024 registration process on September 5 in online mode. IIT JAM 2024 will be conducted in online mode, to offer admissions for candidates in 21 IITs for various programmes including M.Sc, Joint M.Sc - Ph.D, M.Sc Ph.D dual programme, integrated Ph.D, M.Sc - M.Tech and M.Sc and M.S programmes. Candidates can download the IIT JAM admit card 2024 by logging in to the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS). The IIT JAM 2024 application process could be done through the JOAPS portal. What is IIT JAM?
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is the conducting body for IIT JAM. It is a national-level online entrance examination conducted by IIT to offer admissions for candidates in various M.Sc and PG programmes in IITs . IIT JAM 2024 will offer admissions to around 3000 seats through CCMN counselling 2024. Every year, along with the IIT JAM participating institutes will also conduct the entrance exams for candidates seeking admission to M.Sc and PG programmes. IIT JAM 2024 Admission Process
- To be eligible for IIT JAM 2024, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates will have to fill out an online application form and submit it along with the requisite application fee. After submission of the application form, candidates must take a printout of the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
- Admission Process: Based on the marks secured by the candidates in IIT JAM 2024, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates who make it to the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. During the counseling process, the candidates will be allotted seats in the IITs based on their rank in the merit list, choice of the course and availability of seats.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates are required to complete their graduation. The proof of graduation should also be submitted within the deadline.
Marks must be calculated by taking all the subjects into account, including the languages and subsidiaries of all the years combined.
Candidates of General/OBC (NCL) category must have secured a minimum 55% aggregate or 5.5 out of 10 CGPA/CPI in aggregate without rounding off.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD category should have scored at least 50% or 5.0 out of 10 in their graduation.

See, you can only apply for the IIT JAM for the M.Sc. in Mathematics if you studied mathematics for at least two years or four semesters in your undergraduate programme. This is because in order to be admitted to the M.Sc. in Mathematics programme, one must have studied mathematics for at least two years or four semesters in their undergraduate programme. There are no restrictions on subjects taken in 10+2 and they won't even be taken into account when deciding your eligibility for admission; just your class 12th percentage will be taken into account.
