Universities with highest applications for CUET 2022: The National Testing Agency conducted the CUET UG exam 2022 from July 15 to August 30. In the debut edition of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) - UG, there are 90 universities participating in the CUET exam including central, state, private and deemed. These CUET participating universities will accept CUET scores to offer admission to undergraduate courses.

As per a report by The Indian Express, National Testing Agency received 58.5 lakh applications for CUET UG. Among all the CUET participating universities 2022, 26.4 lakh applications are received by just 13 universities. The highest number of applications were received by the University of Delhi (6,63,776), followed by Banaras Hindu University (4,36,140).
The central universities that have received more than a lakh CUET applications are University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Jamia Milia Islamia, Rajiv Gandhi University, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, and Central University of Haryana.
IIMT University, Galgotias University and Apex University are some of the popular private universities among candidates receiving over one lakh applications in CUET 2022.

CUET UG 2022 -Total Registered Candidates
NTA conducted the CUET UG exam at 489 exam centres located in 259 cities across India and 9 cities outside India. The CUET exam was conducted in six phases in 20 days and 38 slots. More than 14 lakh candidates registered for the exam, comprising more than 8 lakh candidates in the first slot and approx 6.8 lakh candidates in the second slot. The complete gender-wise statistics of candidates registered for the exam are given in the table below.

“While 9.9 lakh unique candidates have registered for the test, when the subject combinations chosen by them are taken into consideration, the number goes up to 14 lakh, as every unique candidate will appear in multiple papers. Each candidate can take up to nine papers,” a senior NTA official told the Indian Express.

In the CUET UG exam, the candidates have applied for a total of 54,555 unique combinations of subjects. The total number of question papers in the CUET UG was 2219, while the total number of questions was 50476. The medium of the CUET UG question paper was in 13 different languages.
